Well, so much for that.

Absent those picks, I'd still think Vilma would be worth it given that Vilma is a legit All-Pro LB at a very young age.

So do we all pretty much agree that we'd take Vilma for a 1st and anyone who wouldn't is a complete and utter moron and an icehole on top of that?

We're all iceholes, but yeah... anyone who thinks the 2007 #26 pick is more valuable than Jonathan Vilma should probably ban themselves at least from following the NFL at all and at most from life.

Vilma makes a lot of hay on speed and smarts.  He's not a big dude.

Depends on what we give up for Vilma. I'd have to think long and hard about giving up a first. A second rounder I'd do in a heartbeat, but we'd need to add another player and a future pick as well.

Fine, I submit, we should give up our 1st for Vilma. I'm still an icehole, though.

You'll always be an icehole in my book...

The BIGSTUD

Vilma is definitely worth the 26th pick value-wise, that isn't the question. I just hate the idea of giving up the first round pick. Also will there be anyone at 26 that could help us more than Vilma? A safety? A DE? Probably not, but you better be damn sure if you want to trade that pick for Vilma.

Is that even a requirement for our LB's? They all seem to be a bunch of brainless morons on the field.

I dont understand why anyone wouldn't be "damn sure" unless they believe EVERYTHING the front office says and nothing else. Who is a better option? Seriously. Everyone wants them to spend the 26th pick on defensive player. Vilma is a defensive player. He's easily worth the pick. What is there to question?

Feva

I know for damn sure that Vilma is a pro-bowl caliber defensive player.  I don't know that for sure about the 26th pick of the draft.

I especially don't know that for sure about a defender that Reid's Eagles have ever drafted in the first round.  (Yes, I know about Lito).

I am damn sure there will not be anyone on the board at 16 I'd rather have, let alone 26.
