Spad's article today seems to imply that some trades are imminent. Who do you think is gone?

I'm figuring either Rayburn or Walker are as good as gone for a 5th rd draft pick.

I think Rayburn and Walker combined would barely net a late 5th rounder.

Walker could get a 5th, Rayburn maybe a 6th-7th.  They are most likely going to add to the DT group from some source, so these 2 are expendable.

As just mentioned, I can easily see Tra Thomas gone, though I don't think there's any value in trading Greg Lewis. I wouldn't be surprised to see LJ traded either, while he still retains some value. He'll be gone next year without the Eagles getting anything in return, so this may make sense. I of course have no faith in how any of these players will be replaced.

new jizz from Dave

Everything will be fine by the time the season starts.  Phew.

Rome

I'm glad someone reminded me (repeatedly) that it's actually March and not September.  I would have hated to miss 5/6's of the upcoming baseball season.

Kelley Washington to New England....5-yr deal

wtf

Eaglez

Yeah, but it is one of those one year deals masquerading as a 5 year deal. Pretty much identical K to Stallworth except for the differential in pay. But it really is a one year deal, unless Washington posts some ridiculous numbers this year.

What is up with these contracts? Does it just make the player feel better that they have the illusion of a long term deal worth a lot of money? In practice, a one year deal and that deal are no different.

ice grillin you

both players come with baggage and couldnt get what they wanted on the open market...so the next best thing is play with tom brady have a big year and cash in next offseason on a long term johnson

Bears | Briggs says he's done in Chicago
Mon, 12 Mar 2007 15:12:20 -0800

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports Chicago Bears LB Lance Briggs, who is the team's franchise player, said he is prepared to sit out the 2007 season if the Bears do not trade or release him. He went on to say he's played his last down for the team and will never play in Chicago again.

If the Eagles can find a way of getting him without giving up a first, I will forgive everything they have done this season. Please, PLEASE go after Briggs.

On the other side of that, if Briggs goes to another team for a deal that isn't ridiculous, that would be the nail in the coffin for me with this front office.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

QB Eagles

Any deal signed with Briggs and any team is going to be ridiculous. He's absolutely indignant at the prospect of earning the average salary of the top 5 highest-paid LBs in the league.

Better start polishing that hammer and gold nail then.

The Eagles are definitely going to break the bank on a disgruntled linebacker.

Absolutely.

Apparently Lance Briggs IS less likely to visit the NovaCare complex than he is to swallow his pride and Joe Banner's semen.

That's why I always keep my semen in a sippy cup or one with a lid & a crazy straw.
