Anyone seen a good movie lately?

I just saw somewhere that Rob Zombie is going a remake of the original Halloween.

He's going to completely ruin it.

it will have decent legs because the fanboy set sees this kind of stuff multiple times and the poor reviews its gotten dont influence geeks

In other words, journalism nerds who get paid to watch movies all the time and who thought Munich and Match Point were great movies have their delicate sensabilities trodded on by this violent gore-fest while actual movie-goers love it.

Fortunately I fall into many of these categories. Star Wars nerd. Movie snob nerd. Graphic novel movie lover. A meat headed lover of Gore infested war movies. Lord of the Rings nerd. I've got it all. So I have the right to judge all of you and your stupid opinions. All of which are wrong, by the way.

So, when I went to see 300 on Friday night, around 10pm, I saw a friend of mine there with his chick.  I assumed he was there to see 300 as well, so I jokingly said, "What are you here to see, Wild Hogs?"  He looked at his chick and said, "Yeah", and gave me some 'kill me' eyes.  We stumbled through awkward conversation for another minute and I went on my way.  I was rather embarrassed for him.

How can anyone see previews for Wild Hogs and actually want to see it? What the farg is wrong with people.

You're trying really hard to deny that this movie appeals to people and it's pretty laughable.

was there a few people from those groups that went...of course there was... but it was essentially for star wars type nerds and roided out meatheads with minimal IQ's

There were a lot of Brothers and Sista's at the theater I saw it at.
