Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

ice grillin you

durant and oden are out of the picture so now i ask of yous to please rally around IGY and shammy and win as many games as possible

They just need to stay top 3 to have a shot.  Unfortunately they're now only 1 game ahead of Atlanta, Milwaukee and Charlotte, so they could fall to 6th...  :-\

2006 - Toronto - 5th worst
2005 - Milwaukee - 6th worst
2004 - Orlando - worst
2003 - Cleveland - worst
2002 - Houston - 5th worst
2001 - Washington - 3rd worst
2000 - New Jersey - 7th worst
1999 - Chicago - 3rd worst
1998 - LA Clippers - 3rd worst
1997 - San Antonio - 3rd worst (Sixers were 5th worst)
1996 - SIXERS - 2nd worst
1995 - Golden State - 5th worst (Sixers were 4th worst)
1994 - Milwaukee - 2nd worst

hunt

top 3 might be tough...sixers have 21 wins but there are 3 teams tied with 22 wins.  a couple more wins & the sixers could fall to 6th.

I was so excited about the sixers getting Durant or Oden, now that they've played themselves out of the top 3, im offically done with them.  How farging retarded does Snider have to be, tell Mo his job is safe so he's allowed to lose games.
"For all the civic slurs, for all the unsavory things said of the Philadelphia fans, also say this: They could teach loyalty to a dog. Their capacity for pain is without limit." -Bill Lyons

I know of a guy who quit the Sixers PR department because their organization was so unorganized.

Gossip?

QuoteFans pose tough questions to King

The atmosphere wasn't as tense as the Feb. 20, 1997, meeting with 76ers season ticket-holders in which former president Pat Croce, anticipating some tough questions in the midst of what would become a 22-60 record following an 18-64 season, wore a hockey mask.

He knew he was in trouble when nobody laughed.

Billy King didn't have on a mask for his Wednesday afternoon chat with season ticket-holders, but he definitely took some hard shots from the slot. The fans weren't shy about letting him know they aren't happy with the state of the Sixers, who appear headed for roughly 28 wins and the league's lowest home attendance.

Here are some of the more direct questions and King's responses:

Q: "Do you care so little about the fans that you could bring back your friend Larry Brown (as a vice president) in spite of the overwhelming sentiment against him in this town?"

A: "You know that I always care about the fans. But also in caring about the fans, I want to make sure that I have all the resources to make the best decisions for you. I look at Larry Brown as someone that's a great basketball mind and mainly he's more a consultant. He comes in and gives advice and talks at me. But, at the end of the day, I'm making the decisions with everything that we do here."

Q: "Why don't season ticket-holders get a rebate this year? It has not been worth the professional price of admission."

A: "I'm sorry that you feel that way. I know that the beginning of the season, probably in December, the product that you were seeing was not up to par. But I think the product that you see now is a bunch of guys that are playing hard, playing together. The ball is being shared and they're playing better defense."

Q: "If you were a season ticket-holder, why would you renew your tickets for next year if you're tired of seeing a bad team?"

A: "I think this team will add some draft picks. We're not going to rush it, but I think it's a team that you're going to be proud of. I would hate for you not to be here next year. The team is playing a lot better finishing the year out, and as we move forward next year (2008-09) with a lot of cap room."

Q: "When will you restore professional basketball to Philadelphia?"

A: "Well I don't think it's been that long that professional basketball has not been in Philadelphia. I think we have a team and that we're headed in the right direction."

Q: "When you have a game and there are so many empty seats, the building doesn't have the excitement it could have if you were winning. How come you don't make more of an effort to donate tickets to nonprofit organizations?"

A: "We do donate. Our players Kyle Korver and Sammy Dalembert (are involved) in the Community Assists program and some of the other season ticket-holders have donated tickets, as well. We reach out to the community, whether it be PAL or different groups, and donate tickets."

Q: "Why the buyout of Chris Webber? He was 'hurt' and whining here, but yet he takes the floor immediately in Detroit? Something isn't right with this picture."

A: "Unfortunately, Chris thought he wasn't healthy enough to play here. He wasn't able to play for us and he's playing for them. What we've been able to do puts us in the best situation for you the fan and for this organization going forward. Just hang with us and we'll turn it around very quickly for you."

Trivia time

Who holds the NBA record for most consecutive games played without fouling out? Here's a hint: He played with seven teams — most notably the Knicks and Pacers.

The answer appears later.

==============================

A.I. wondering what's up

Word out of Denver is Allen Iverson can't understand why Andre Iguodala and Korver are playing so well for the Sixers.

Uh, that would be because they're more involved in the offense since Iverson's Dec. 19 trade to the Nuggets.

Speaking of Iverson, the Nuggets are 4-8 in games in which he and Carmelo Anthony have played. He has 20 assists and 18 turnovers in the last three games for Denver
, which is one game below .500 and barely holding onto the Western Conference's seventh playoff spot.

==============================

Trivia answer

Mark Jackson went a record 1,213 games without fouling out of an NBA game. Moses Malone is second at 1,212 and Wilt Chamberlain, who never fouled out in his pro career, is third at 1,045 games.

Although I'm pretty annoyed at the winning streak as everyone else, you can't fault the guys for winning.   Brandon Wright is going to be a stud as well, so hopefully we can stay around the top 3.  If not, I guess Julian Wright or Horford are good consolation prizes.

Well rumor has it Durant's staying in school and since we won't wind up with the #1 pick and Oden may or may not come out I think its safe to stop rooting for the #1 or #2 overall.
