from the inky....

Ike's return?

On Friday, Atlanta waived former Eagles linebacker Ike Reese, who had two years remaining on the four-year contract he signed with the Falcons after the Eagles' Super Bowl appearance. A nine-year NFL veteran, Reese, 33, said in January that he and his wife were house-hunting in South Jersey because he wanted to retire in the Philadelphia area.

While retirement might come sooner than Reese expected - he said during the Eagles-Giants playoff game at Lincoln Financial Field that he wanted to play out his contract with the Falcons - Reese likely won't be far from football when he does retire. He could follow Hugh Douglas' path into the media or he could coach, possibly on the NFL level

I'd love to see Ike back in Eagle green, regardless, he'll be back in Philly in some compacity....

Dallas close to signing Leonard Davis

He's a grater, I was hoping he'd stay out of the East. Speculation is he'll sign a deal larger than Dockery or Steinbachs.

better than the skins getting him tho

ike has a future on wip no doubt...whenever he guest hosts on the cuzs show hes excellent...way better than hugh

theres absolutely no reason not to sign ike to a one year deal with an option for two or soemthing along those lines

Agreed. There is no reason Ike Reese should not be an Eagle in 2007. None. Hell, let him play out his year or two and then put his ass in there as the STs coach. That dude Rory is going to suck. Has anyone named Rory every accomplished anything?

Leonard Davis scares no one. Dude should be the best OL in the NFL but he blows. He's lazy and the Cards OL stunk with him in there.

The Texans just signed Ahman Green

Diomedes

So, with Dominick Davis and Ahman Green, I guess we can bet they aren't going to be looking for RB in the draft?

Just remembered Duckett is still out there.....

Duckett > Buck coming back?

I figure if Buck signs somewhere, they have to get another back. No way the depth chart looks like Westy > Moats > Mahe......right?

They could draft a guy, but I think they may go with a second tier RB in free agency, and I would suppose a guy like Duckett would be in that list.

Them getting Duckett on the cheap would make me laugh considerably, considering the story that goes around here in D.C is that Gibbs and Co. snatched him up because they didn't want him to go to Philly....

4 years $22 million ($6.5 guarantee)
Not a bad deal considering he's 30. Wanted the Eagles to nab him, still hoping Dillon's a possibility.
