Quote from Lewis:

Quote"A lot of things that went on in Philadelphia weren't football-related. That is the nature of the business, but I have something to prove. I want to get back to where my name needs to be as one of the top safeties in the league, as I feel I am."

From AdamJT13, who knows his stuff when it comes to the salary cap and compensation picks:

QuoteHere's the list of 2007 salary cap adjustments for all 32 teams. These are the net results of all credits and charges left over from 2006, mostly from incentives that either had been charged against the cap but were not earned or had not been charged against the cap but were earned. Some of these numbers could be adjusted later in the offseason.

A positive number means the team's cap limit was raised (resulting in more cap room). A negative number means the team's cap limit was lowered (resulting in less cap room). Note -- This is NOT the available cap room for each team. It is the adjustment of their cap limit, either raising it or lowering it from $109 million. So, for example, Buffalo's cap adjustment is $3 million, so the Bills' limit is $112 million. Chicago's cap adjustment is minus-$535,529, so the Bears' limit is $108,464,471.

CAP LIMIT ADJUSTED HIGHER (more cap room)
Minnesota $9,338,540
Kansas City $8,559,275
Jacksonville $8,505,098
New Orleans $6,557,782
Cleveland $6,451,094
Carolina $4,161,388
New England $3,871,580
Tampa Bay $3,735,576
San Francisco $3,651,724
Houston $3,346,071
Seattle $3,323,500
Buffalo $3,000,000
Philadelphia $2,964,935
Dallas $2,717,626

Indianapolis $2,183,326
Detroit $2,109,229
Baltimore $1,982,839
Denver $1,175,718
N.Y.Giants $581,366
Washington $522,354

Green Bay $519,110
Atlanta $228,518
Oakland $117,349

NO ADJUSTMENT
Arizona $0
Cincinnati $0

CAP LIMIT ADJUSTED LOWER (less cap room)
Chicago -$535,529
St. Louis -$795,869
San Diego -$2,594,685
Miami -$2,609,428
Pittsburgh -$2,678,769
N.Y. Jets -$3,166,401
Tennessee -$3,593,294

obviously, Lewis knows he didn't play up to his earlier years in Philly.  a change should do him good.

Good signing for the Rams.  With Bruce likely in his final year, this keeps the quarterback happy.

I agree that it is a good signing. He isn't a #1, but is a pretty damn good #2. The Rams still need a defense though.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Eagles Looking for a Back?

vWith veteran RB Correll Buckhalter remaining unsigned, the Philadelphia Eagles are clearly in the market for a free agent back.
