Hartwell is also better than some of the flotsom we have.

I'd take both in a heartbeat. Ike was on WIP the other day, he still loves it here. He'd probably come on the cheap just so he could retire with the Eagles.

Wilford if i remember correctly ran a 4.8 40.  They both are taller guys who have great verticals.  Just a comparison, not an annoitment.

PATS TARGETING THOMAS?

Several readers tell us that Adam Schefter of NFL Network said earlier this morning on WEEI in Boston that the Pats will make a big push for linebacker Adalius Thomas within the next 24 to 48 hours.

Meanwhile, John Clayton of ESPN.com reports that Thomas will visit the 49ers.

We heard earlier this week that the 49ers were believed to have a deal in principle with Thomas.  But the problem with deals struck before the start of free agency is that they're not enforceable, and the player can pull the plug if he so chooses.

Thomas as well as Stallworth have not visited any teams today

Depends on who you ask.

He's decent-to-very good at times in run support, but has really fallen off the past two seasons against the pass. I think he'd be a seriously good addition for the Niners.

Another benefit: He got farged by our F.O., so he'll be playing with a chip on his shoulder for a long time to come, I'm sure.

Just posted that on the main forum.

Strenghts: He's as good of SS as there is in the league vs. the run, hard hitter.

Weakness: Bad vs. the pass. Poor range, gets beat deep and often. Goes for jukes real easy.

Diomedes

weakness:  he's not so smart.  he'll bite on pump fakes to the underneath route regularly, and pretty often on play action.  he can be burned pretty easily too.  he draws a lot of pass interference calls

strength:  he's always good against the run, sometimes very good.

good luck with him

oh yeah..he's got a bad heart, will probably drop dead by third game of cardiac arrest

RATH, if you've seen Roy Williams or Sean Taylor, he has a similar game to those guys but he doesn't go for vicious hits on every single play....

I like Ike. Good leadership. But if Atlanta cut him at $940,000, that is at most a couple of hundered thousand above the vet minimum for the # of years he has. Is this more like a skill level move than a salary thing? It shouldn't save more than maybe $600k even if a bottom scale young guy replaces him and Atlanta hs a good amount of cap space. I really haven't seen him play much since he left here (although I seem to remember he decked one of the Eagles pretty good).

weakness: when im running errands and i come back to the board and i read a post that says he sucks in coverage than it MUST be true

the good: numerous teams around the league are bidding for his services so that means they are dumber than the birds and lewis is one of the worst safties maybe ever...god i hope someone overpays him!!

ps- someone feed me banner balls thru a crazy straw
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick
