Just helpiing out by saving the typing.....
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

If you payed attention East St. Louis dweller, you'd know I'd say:

Fake sympathy for a man you don't know.

Being empathetic for someone who loses their father (or loses a child or has a sick family member) isn't fake or unheard of.

Just because you don't possess that trait doesn't mean those who do are faking it.  ::)
Maybe the voices aren't real, but, they've got some pretty good ideas...

I'm not from Philly but some say I'm blunt.

I have plenty of empathy.  I've also got the class to keep it to myself, abstain from puking it around in public, etc.  I don't advertise it on an internet messageboard.  That's an acid test for whether sympathy/empathy is real:  if it's broadcasted and advertised, then it's fake as your tits.

"Oh, yeah. They'll still boo. They have to. They're born to boo. Just now, they'll only boo with two Os instead of like four." - Larry Andersen

Yes. You showed your "class" when you brought Herb's battle with cancer into an unrelated thread and proceeded to shtein on it.

No, I brought up everyone's sappy, look-at-me-I'm-so-sad posts.  Herb himself was a nice guy..I corresponded with him a bit when I was at EMB.  It was a sad story his death, but he wasn't the greatest guy ever as you idiots posted, and whatever sadness I had for his demise was best left out of these grief orgy threads you upstanding people are so fond of.

Player news?  Sure, I guess so...

Shaun Alexander has a new book out entitled Touchdown Alexander: My Story of Faith, Football and Pursuing a Dream. In the book, Alexander discusses many things including religion, totting the rock, and when he lost his virginity.

I understand that when you write a "tell-all" book, you "tell-all," but isn't discussing when you lost your virginity a bit much?

According to the book, "Alexander says he was a virgin until he married Valerie Boyd in 2002 and that they never even kissed until they stood at the altar and directed to do so by the pastor. He was 24 years old. That was after a two-year courtship..."

Does anyone else find it a bit odd that Alexander lost his virginity when he was 24? I thought everyone in the NFL lost their virginity when they were much younger, like say... well, I guess you have to be 18 to enter a strip club, so I'd say most players made it rain when they were around 18, no?

Oh and how do you date a girl for two years and never kiss her until you're at the alter? I know some religions can be pretty strict on what you can and cannot do with the member of the preferred sex, but isn't kissing pretty much allowed by all of them?

Alexander definitely belongs in the record books and hall of fame... for the biggest confirmed case of blue-balls.

2 years and no kissing? Alexander must be an avid fan of Al Gore's internet and its many wondrous sites.
