My father is currently watching the remake of The Fog.  This might be the worst concept for a movie ever, worse than Killer Klowns from Outer Space even.
Fletch:  Can I borrow your towel for a sec? My car just hit a water buffalo.

"The Departed"

It's an excellently written, acted, and directed movie.  It's also one of the manliest movies ever.  It was missing something... I don't want to get into specifics, but I think there were some minor plot holes or intentional oversights to make the whole thing work.

One of the best movies I can remember seeing, though, in recent memory.

4/5.

Rome

"The Devil Wears Prada."

Watched it with the Mrs. tonight.  Standard fish out of water story.  "Ugly" girl gets job, changes completely, discovers her changing was a mistake, and triumphantly quits job only to get a better one.

Yawn.

Meryl Streep was great, though.  Stanley Tucci was sensational in the "wise sage" role.

And Anne Hathaway was great in the same role she's played 20 times in her career.  She did have casual sex with some slimey journalist and she did show her boobs in lingerie, though.

3/5

Maybe the voices aren't real, but, they've got some pretty good ideas...

Dazed and Confused- I was about 4 years late on this. Pretty good.  :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

That movie was released when you were in diapers.

I should've watched it 4 years ago. Like when I was in high school, not a few months away from being a Junior in college.

Babel -  5/10  too long, too boring, total waste of Cate Blanchett talent.   Cant believe this movie is in the running for best flick at the Oscars.

The Prestige-  7/10   I thought it could have been better, but it was still entertaining.  Christopher Nolan is still the man so far.
