Peyton's literally going to own every passing record in the books by the end of his career in all likelihood.

And now he has a ring.

Brady will probably not win another one, as it appears the years of nickel and diming star players is catching up with the Patriots.  The debate over which is better will be extremely clear in Manning's favor in 2-3 years, barring injury.

Ya well, three superbowls is hard to argue.  I Peyton wins a second, then I will have some sympathy for your argument.  But if at the end of their careers, it's still 3-1, then I don't care what Peyton's stats are, he's second to Brady.

Because it's the Bible on all things manly, I thought I'd throw this into the ring.

Maxim rated the Top QB's playing today:

1. Tom Brady
2. Payton Manning
3. Carson Palmer
4. Marc Bulger
5. Eli manning

I think the inclusion of Eli makes this list as good as gospel.

Right, but it doesn't mean everything.  I'm firm that Marino could never be considered the best because he didn't win one, but Peyton got over that hump.  Still, Marino's much better than some QB's that won a Super Bowl, just like Peyton's going to end up better than some that won multiple Super Bowls.

Bart Starr is totally the best quarterback ever because the Packers won like 50 NFL titles with him at QB.

:yay

3>1 is a better argument than just saying it's so, without any support at all.

SunMo

the support should be that you've watched a single other NFL game other than the Eagles in the past 5 years

There's only one person on this board outspoken about being disinterested in non-Eagles games, and he's the one who came right out and said Brady's better, but not simply because he has 2 more rings.

SunMo

so it's even more obvious if the one guy who doesn't watch other games knows that Brady is better

yeah the cold was a factor...but there were thousands outside not 100....and in the dome there were 50,000...still these are numbers that would pale im comparison to what northeast cities would get....its a different animal...also you have to remember that unlike the gold standard did the colts did not release any information regarding the parade until about midight sunday...so it wasnt like the people had a tonof time to rearrange work day plans to attend

at the time they were showing it on TV, there were 100 people. One line around the cars. That was it.

So, I was not exaggerating.  ::)

That makes even less sense.

It would be like me speaking informatively on the Flyers goalie situation, because I haven't watched even a shred of hockey this year.  So, obviously, I know how bad the goalies are even more than someone who watches most of the games, right?

Your logic in defending your buttbuddy is quite backwards on this one, even if you two have a lot of support in the Pro-Brady camp.

SunMo

obviously, my last statement was facetious, or maybe not so obviously

what makes the least sense of all is to take way out of context something i said two years ago and for the rest of your life use that out of context post as as a way to defend any and all  positions you might have
