Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

He's a racist.  Next question.

Not neccessarily true.  The Confederation wasn't "about" slavery, it was about wanting to break away from the north.  General Robert E. Lee was against slavery and felt it was an immoral practice.  And even at it's height, slave owners in the US never exceeded 10%.

In addition to that, free blacks living in the south before the civil war were documented (black) slave owners as well, with several owning over 100 slaves.

PoopyfaceMcGee

You're seriously going to sit there and defend the Confederation on this board?

Hahahahahaha - Even if what you say makes some sense, you'll be branded a racist.  Basically any contrarian viewpoint to something being a display of racism automatically makes you a racist.

Rome

Yep - the stars & bars is all about southern pride.  No racism there.

PoopyfaceMcGee

It's both.

Ted Nugent is a gun-toting, right-wing nutjob, regardless of his reasoning for wearing the stars and bars.

Insert Hood

So i posted before about my buddy and his exfiance.  He's avoided bedding her up to this point.  Her friend called him saturday to find out if he had his ex's address, she was going to send the police there because of her being depressed.  Nothing happened, but today he gets a call from that same girl who told him that his ex was asking her if my boy wants to get back together, even for just a hook up.  She's now married.  He avoids her like the plague and it doesnt matter to her.

You lost me after Hood.

They fought for two reasons:  taxation and in defense of slavery.  The flag is the symbol of that struggle and insofar as that is true, it is a pro-slavery symbol.  Anecdotes of uncle tom slave owners are irrelevant.

The flag fell almost completely out of common usage until the struggle for civil rights and desegregation in the last century, when it was waived around by racist redneck kkk fargs.

Both of these points are fact, and the latter reinforces the former.  If the crackers of the 60s used the flag to protest desegregation, how can you possibly say the flag is about anything other than slavery and hate?

Nuge is so dumb, he's probably just flying it to be contrary.  But whatever.  That's freedom for you.  I'd love to see him fly that shtein in my neighborhood.  (zip 10469)
