You're really way too sensitive, IGY.  Why do you care what he says or does at all?  And don't give me the "he works for the team, and I don't like the attitude," or the "I hurt deeply" nonsense.  The guy works for the team and wants people to focus on the positive.  You want to focus on the negative.  So, go ahead.  But who cares what he says one way or the other?  It really doesn't matter.

Some people like to dwell...some people don't-- especially the ones who get paid not to.

The Eagles losing and Reid's playcalling was all a conspiracy against IGY.

damn right im sensitive...this shtein hurts worse than anything in a long time...and this mouthpiece lapdog is gonna tell me i cant or shouldnt  talk about it??...analyze it...or hell even bitch about it

gimme a break....dwelling on it is therapy...listening to wip is therapy...coming to CF to talk with fellow fans is therapy...i cant just rid myself of this two days later...not even close...maybe by the summer and training camp for the most part but this is one that never leaves you...like tommy hutton this loss will always be in your somewhere

btw is anything worse than having non eagle fans come up to you at work and saying this "dood what happened?"...like not even in a rubbing it in way...just asking it in an open ended manner...four people have done that to me in the last half hour and its building a mighty rage inside me

I told you not to go with the "I'm hurting" girlie stance.  No offense, PG ;).

You go ahead and feel as bad as you want to; wallow to your heart's content.  You'll mature one of these days, maybe.  If Reid punting on 4th and 15 is the worst thing that happens in your life, count yourself as one lucky girl.

why would this year hurt worse?  were you really looking forward to a super bowl matchup against the colts or pats so the eagles could get b-slapped on a national stage?

personally, i never considered this year's team to be super bowl caliber so seeing them lose hurts a little less than in years past...i guess it's all about expectations.

Exactly-- they just weren't very good this year.  Nothing about this team pointed to them being a Superbowl team other than the fact the rest of the NFC could be good, bad or indifferent in any given game.

i was on record as believing if the eagles had won at new orleans they would have won the superbowl...i still believe that....but its more than that...

looking back on the season as a whole this isnt as bad as 2004  but the new orleans game by itself is maybe the worst loss ive ever suffered....because they so easily could have/should have won...carolina had a higher frustration factor but at the end of the day they were worked all night long in that game...you never really felt as if they could win it...same with tampa

like i said...expectations.
sure, they could've (possibly should've) won the new orleans game but i didn't see any way in hell they would beat the colts or pats.  both teams have a history of destroying jj's defense & this year's defense is crappier than usual.

The funny thing is, IGY didn't really give the Eagles a chance to win going into the game.

this is true

and its the closeness of the score that makes it that much more painful...the eagle players went into an atmosphere that might never be duplicated again and played their farging guts out only to have their pathetic coach sell them out...the fact that they should have won is what makes the loss so excrutiating

I would argue that the defense did not play their guts out.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Have to agree.  The offense should never gotten to a 4th and 9.  The D should have stepped up, but didnt.  The coach did give the D a chance, i wouldnt have put it on their shoulders but Andy did.  They failed at stopping 3 runs.  Its over, it was a good run, but with all of the injuries they had i dont think they would have a shot at winning the SB.  They were much healthier in 2004.

if you were one of the people here last week who thought the defense was going to stop the saints then you were drinking the kool aid

i was shocked at how many people thought the eagles would win because of the defense...many people had the saints at 20 pts or under....that just wasnt going to happen...but the defense did fight...help the saints to a couple red zone field goals...won the turnover battle and even had three sacks...they had the team in a position to win

But the Offense failed, and the D failed.  Scott Young needs to die also...
