no it wouldnt. you give home games to the higher seeded teams except for the final game...which can be played in a neutral site somewhere warm.

think about it, usc was in line for a home game but they lost to ucla. michigan and osu were playing for the #1 overall seed and a clear path to the finals.

college sports are bullshtein, they are all about money. the athletic directors and presidents all are hypocrits who use the student athlete as a whore to fill their pockets with more cash. they claim having a playoff would hurt the students academically, even though most games would take place during winter break. they have bowl games because they make a ridiculous amount of money. and thats all the decision makers care about, how much money they can make and how nice the new yacht will be.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I'd rather see a quarterfinal matchup between seeds #1 & #8 over the Astro-Bluebonnet Bowl any day of the week.

thats cause you dont care about college football outside of the bcs championship game

a tournament would render great games we had this year like usc ucla and ohio st michigan (and many others) irrelevant

id rather have the dozens and dozens of huge regular season games instead of a few big games that a tournament would provide
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

those games wont be meaningless. eagles-cowboys is still big, and they place twice a year. duke-unc, same deal. the games wont be as big, but they still will be big.

no matter what you say about the bowl games and super regular season games, its ridiculous to defend a computer making the decision between florida and michigan. even oaklahoma had some beef (ref error, admitted, cost them the oregon game...otherwise they have 1 loss and a big 12 title and have a case).

come on, imagine ohio state having to go through boise state, oklahoma then the winner of michigan-florida to win the title. youre talking 3 week of amazing games. you are silly to pass that up for a kind of bigger game between usc and ucla or osu and michigan during the regular season.

why do i wanna see ohio st blow out boise state and play an inferior oklahoma team

id rather have the game of the century against michigan on the last day of the regular season then a bcs championship game vs florida....ill even go with a plus one game of florida vs michigan but nothing more than that

The first comment you made concerning my NOT CARING about college football outside of the BCS game is about as retarded as it gets, IGY.  You have no basis for saying this and it's a completely idiotic statement to boot.  If I didn't care about games other than the BCS, why would I want a playoff system that would guarantee more games?

The second comment is more retardation.  Games that happen during the regular season are just that... regular season games.  They wouldn't add or detract from potential playoff games anymore than great regular season games in the NFL do or great regular season games happen in the college game now.  They're completely separate entities.

The final jibberish is more nonsense that is tied to the second comment you made.  Great regular season games would still occur.  League championships would still occur.  Nothing would change except more games would be added.  Since you're such a big college fan, it would seem logical that you'd root for more great games, not less.

he cares about more about usc and ucla and osu and michigan playing in mini-playoff games more than actually having a playoff. said real playoff would some detract that full importence away from said mini-playoff regular season games.

to sum, igy's logical makes no sense.

Jay Glazer reported that Reggie Bush has been told by USC to stay away from the Rose Bowl because of what happened last year with Bush's parents and that house. They don't even want him in the stadium let alone on the sidelines.

its not logic....its my preference...just like youd prefer a playoff system...i happen to like it the way it is

so joepa's "coaching" from the press box today.  and he didn't even talk to the the team at halftime.  makes me think he might be letting go.  i hope so.

PSU should be up by 2 TDs in this game

The Arkansas coach just about had a aneurysm over that pass interference call.   :-D

West Virginia comes back from an 18 point defecit... TWICE... to beat Georgia Tech 38-35.

They beat a Georgia team two years in a row as they beat the Bulldogs last year...38-35.

Can't blame Calvin Johnson though... 8 rec, 186 yds 2 TD's.  I hope he can survive Oakland.

Only caught a quick glimpse but did one of the inactive players on West Virginia's sideline have Bednarik on the back of his jersey?
