Andrews is definitely a G. He commands DTs and is so valuable in pulling when it comes to off tackle runs. Having a guard that can dominate the inside yet be quick enough to pull in order to seal off the outside should not be playing tackle.

Herremans has been solid. I just hope the dominance continues. With how well Garcia has been playing, the O-line has really been the difference maker on the offensive side of the ball. They really collectively stepped up their game the past 4 outings and have opened up so much in the running game and in the passing game giving Garcia a nice pocket to work with, great throwing lanes, and tons of time.

Big fan of this signing.  The guy seems versital sp? enough to play every position other than C.  I have to say Phreak that having that outlook at the O Line is a great future.  MJG will get his chance at LG in 2 years.

Yeah, can't argue with this move.  Unless Reid resumes play calling, in which case it doesn't matter how good or how many good linemen you have.

Amen.

No matter what, one thing you can always trust the current front office with is offensive lineman.

Back in 1998, a stripper accused him of raping her at knifepoint but there was no evidence and the charges were dropped...

and who hasn't done that?
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Please, please leave Andrews at guard.  PLEASE!  I'm farging begging you, Andy.  The guy is a guard.

I'd like to add a few "please"s to this statement... and that will explain how I feel.

Right now he's too fat to play tackle. If he cuts down on the ho-ho's and snackaroos, then maybe. But he's a pretty good guard, so keep on eatin' tubby.
Andrews is down like 60 pounds from last year, but he's still a big man.  He is definitely a (pro bowl) force at guard, keep him there.
for the future:  Justice + MJG/other + Jamal + Andrews + Herremans is a SICK O-line.

I dunno.  Herremans is making himself pretty comfortable at G too.  MJG was predicted by some as a first rounder.  He might be more valuable as trade-bait than a backup.
Anyone but Reid.

It was reported near the trading deadline in October that there was plenty of interest in MJG--but I don't think enough to have Reid trade him.

He gave one of the better interviews I've heard on Sirius today with Kirwin/Rock. I think he used the word "insanity" three times in talking about Mudd and what he had them doing. But he said it was the kind of crazy things you'd never think would work but when you try it, it does. Unusual since he tends to be kind of understated, almost monotone in his interviews that I've heard.

Glad for the re-sign. Best case scenario they would get a top RT, but at least Herremans is a versatile and solid starter, and still young. They are probably getting him a lot cheaper than if they waited until his contract year, so gives him some more security and saves the team cap space.
