QuoteDear Mr. Synder,

Thank you for another season at the helm of the best team in pro football.

You may think this letter a bit odd, considering the taterskins fell way short

of every fans' preseason expectation and wish.

I used to attend the games at DC/RFK stadium in the 60's and 70's with

my mom. She remembers watching Sammy Baugh and her favorite Andy

Farkis. She was even at Griffith Stadium, Sunday December 7,1941.

I was a big fan of the late great Jack Kent Cooke. To this day I feel

there was a serious reason for him not to leave the team to his son. He

understood what it took to continue this team, ever moving on the path to

greatness. I think if he were alive today he would wholeheartidly approve

of you Mr. Synder.

You Mr.Snyder are a proven winner(and then some) in the corporate

world. You are a taterskins fan. Most of all, you live and die with the Skins

as most of us on this board. Every year since you have been in charge

you have taken steps to get the taterskins to the promised land.

Unfortunately, as we all know, the outcomes haven't always been great.

You have many detractors out there that snipe at you at every availible

opportunity. Big men with Big ideas like you are always going to be a

target by those with mediocre minds. But unlike the Clevelands, Arizonas,

Detroits et al; we have a leader that is absolutely committed to our proud

Washington franchise.

The learning curve is steep in running a pro football team in todays

market. I am confident you Mr. Synder WILL find the secret in not only

building but maintaining a perennial winner.

In conclusion, keep up your relentless and tireless perseverence

in obtaining that goal. Ignore the little people. You have many fans who

support you unequivocally.

Merry Christmas to you and yours Mr. Synder. Happy days are just

around the corner.

Sincerely Yours,

Fischer Fan (and mom)

A letter from an Eagles fan is more likely to be addressed to "Hey Fargface!"

QuoteDear Danny Claus,

All I want for Christmas is for you to stop raising ticket prices. And some beer.

Thanks.

I told my Hannukah Bush that I wanted some dead taterskins fans for Hannukah, let's hope it listens.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

QuoteS. Spurrier as our GM

I always thought Spurriers success in college was due to his ability to recruit and spot talent. He could tell talent, and create mismatches, allowing him to play golf the rest of the time where in the NFL this just didn't cut it for a coach.

But perhaps there is another position for Steve Spurrier in the NFL, General Manager. I know I'm going to get flamed for this but I think his knowledge of spotting talent would be great for many aspects of a GM. After I saw this post it got me thinking. http://www.extremeskins.com/forums/...ad.php?t=18556

Does it matter?

I especially like how he made a reference to "most of us on this board".  Yeah, I'm sure Danny Boy spends his free time catching up on the goings on with the ES crew.

Writting a letter to a player, coach, owner, whoever on a message board is the lamest thing a person has ever done.

QuoteCould this happen at FedEx Field? Read below:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2706094

Some fans in Detroit are planning to protest the dismal state of the William Clay Ford-owned and Matt Millen-led Detroit Lions in their home finale for the second straight year.

Last season, about 500 people marched, chanting "Fire Mil-len!, before the Lions hosted the Cincinnati Bengals, and many wore orange during the game.

On Sunday against Chicago, another protest has been initiated by disgruntled fans. With 8:57 left in the second quarter, those interested in showing their displeasure with Ford and Millen are asked to walk out of their seats and to later walk out of the stadium.

QuoteThat's a little overboard for the Skins, the Lions fans have endured years of futility under Millen, and the ownership refuses to make a change even though every clearly sees it's necessary. Skins aren't to that level yet.

:-D Yeah, ok.

In ES-land, 1 playoff appearance cancels out 5 years of sub .500 football.

You seem to be forgeting a very important fact: Last year Coach Joe won more playoff games than Marty has in his entire tenure at San Diego.

And the Chargers are a superbowl favorite, which means the taterskins are an even better than that!!!

That hurt to type.  I think its time to shovel off my car and go grab a beer.
