So far this season, the opponents of the Washington taterskins have been guilty of 15 delay of game penalties that were not called. Today's they snapped the ball a full two seconds after the playclock read zero and it resulted in a first down and the Saint's first score. taterskin pass rushers were also tackled with nary a holding call, and they desperately did not want to call illegal pass, but this thread is mainly about the fact that 15 times the playclock reached zero and the officials chose not to call it.

Even after a win, it was stil all about the refs.

normally i would not agree with those douchenozzles but that particular play was actually blown.  maybe not two full seconds but the clock was definitely at zero before the ball was snapped.  pretty obvious too.

I didn't see it, but the refs will typically give the offense an extra second after the play clock reaches 0 before blowing the whistle rather than throwing a flag as soon as it hits 0.  Why?  I have absolutely no idea but the Eagles got away with it once or twice yesterday as well.  In fact, most teams typically get away with it a couple times a game.

Well, at least he rocks at making sure the skins don't get too competitive long-term.
