i didnt get on michigan for anything....die hard got on florida for barely beating south carolina...south carolina would finish third in the big ten...i was making the point that every team has close games especially is a loaded conference like the sec...the big ten is a disgrace and to have two teams from an awful conference in the title game would be a mistake

naw...outside of the opening drive did you at anytime during that game believe michigan could win...the game was not as close as the score and anytime osu wanted to put the ball in the end zone they did...they basically toyed with michigan...something they wont be able to do against a much better florida defense....the question will be can leak make any plays to win the game...not as many as troy smith and thats why osu will win

The question isn't whether Michigan deserves another shot at OSU.  The question is whether Florida has earned the right to play for the national championship based on their play this past season.

Winning two conference games by a single point each, nearly getting beaten by Georgia & Vanderbilt, lining up patsies like UCF & Western Carolina to pad their schedule, (espeically WCU who they played the second-to-last week of the season) and nearly getting beaten by an atrocious FSU team doesn't make them a legitimate title contender.  It makes them a fraud whose doors will be blown off by the Buckeyes.

Alright - let me say it this way:

There's no legitimate argument for including Florida in the championship game and not Michigan.  That's why the system failed here, IGY.  Michigan lost on the road by three points to the #1 team in the country.  That is the only blemish on their record.  They deserve a shot just as much as UF does at the minimum.

Bottom line here IGY... is that the 2 best teams in the country are not playing for the nat'l championship... which is supposed to be the point of the BCS.

There's no way a team (Florida) can jump 2 spots above another team (Michigan) that hasn't even played without some outside forces at work...i.e. the anti-rematch voters, Urban Meyer's politicking... at least not at the top of the polls.

The system in place... as flawed as it is... said that Michigan was better than Florida for nearly 2 months... yet they change up that drastically... the last week?  Come on.

If Michigan had scheduled a Western Michigan late in the year like Florida did... maybe after Ohio State... I guess this would all be a moot point.

When the NCAA decides that a playoff system is the best way to go then I'll be more inclined to care about college football.

What about a team like Boise St?  They went 12-0.  Yes they're in the WAC but 12-0 at any level, any conference of football is not a small task.  Don't they deserve a chance at a championship, too? 

You can make a point for every team that is in the top 5 or 10.   Thats why there should be a playoff.  Lets see who the best team REALLY is.  Not who people think is the best team.

Don't matter which conference they're from when they're clearly the two best teams in the country... which they are.  The goal of the BCS is to put the best two teams in the title game... not the best from 2 conferences.

You can say you never doubted the outcome because the game has already been played and you know the outcome.  But every OSU fan I've talked to said that they felt the things were very much in doubt the entire game... even when they went up 11 late.  The entire 2nd half, they couldn't stop Michigan... what reason would they have to feel safe about the game at that time?

And Florida has a much better defense?! 

Michigan held opponents to 29 yards on the ground per game... and registered 41 sacks (26 by the d-line) outside of the OSU game.

I know you're gonna tell me about the slow Big Ten vs the super fast SEC... but I know you're not going to try to sell me on Auburn, LSU, Georgia, Alabama, Vanderbilt, etc. being offensive juggernauts are you?  The ONLY other somewhat potent offenses in the SEC outside of Florida is Tennessee and Arkansas.

Again... this tells me that you didn't watch the game becuase they didn't convincingly win shtein.  They blew a 17 point lead and any momentum they had... before Arkansas self destructed late muffing punts into the end zone and what not.

Btw... the very same Gators that you're defending here won their last national title without winning their conference.

Me too.  That coupled with Michigan running through USC will get us one step closer to some sort of playoff system.
