OK everyone..  you know you all read the "Dead in 20xx" threads, so now it's time to take part in all the fun.  For a small, itsy-bitsy one time fee of $20, you too can be part of the cool crowd.  AND, you will get the enjoyment of kicking rjs' ass in this game.  He may know Risk, but he doesn't know shtein about people dying.  He has a grand total of ZERO points this year (so far).

Feel free to invite your friends, family, enemies, whoever.  As long as I get the $20 before December 27th (which is when the picks are due), they are in the game.

And don't forget, enrollment in the Ghoulpool makes a GREAT Christmas present!!

so, rjs sucks at life and death.

Diomedes

Yah, but he's a Risk maestro.  Also plays a mean Chutes and Ladders, I've heard...

Ha, you wish.

I'm definitely in for this year. I am counting on getting zero points again. It's worth $20 to wish death on celebrities who are in perfect health.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

I will kill him when they come out with an online version of Tiddlywinks.  And that goes for the rest of yous too.

Quasimoto

I've never done this before.  Maybe I'll have some beginner's luck.  ^-^

PoopyfaceMcGee

I may do this.  You're welcome for the info.

MadMarchHare

Oh, it's awesome.  Every time someone on my list kicked it, I got so damned excited.  It was like an early Christmas present!
Anyone but Reid.

Father Demon

So it looks like Dio, RJS, Beef Rapp, FFattPatt, MMH, Phanatic are in.

Some of you other people HAVE to want to do this.  I just know it.

Quote2. People on your list MUST BE a celebrity or political figure in their own right. What this means is that Michael Jordan would be eligible, but Michael Jordan's mom would not. If you have any doubt about the eligibility of a celebrity, ask before submitting the names. The Commissioner's decision will be final in the event a person is not deemed to have sufficient celebrity status. Basically, if the person is famous by his own doing, that should be good enough. Political figures must be at the National level or higher -- no mayors or what-not. Foreign political leaders must also be at the national level for their respective countries. Again, if there might be a question, ask before submitting.

So... "King Cole" is not eligible, but "Diomedes" is... I think.

Does this involve actual research to come up with a list of names, or is there a huge group on the site to select from?

Father Demon

Either/or.  If you go to www.ghoulpool.us, there is a page called frequency which lists everyone selected from last year, and the number of times they were selected.  Also, you could easily Google 'ghoulpool', 'deadpool', and 'deathpool' and see who the popular names are for these types of things.

Then there are other groups of people who tirelessly research the entertainment sites, watch late-night rag shows, and comb through the news headlines for tiny hints of celebrities.  In the end, I'm not sure which is more successful.

Come to the dark side, Sus.   :evil

Well, each player's picks from '06 are available on the site, so you could sort through a dozen or so entries to come up with your own list, without having to look elsewhere...
