Just watched Slither. A very enjoyable goofy scary flick. Really gross, but in a cartoonish sort of way. I recommend it for people who get a kick out of that type of movie.

saw girlhood last night....a doc about two girls in the baltimore juvenile offender system trying to make it good....very sad and very good....bleeding hearts like me will love it

I dropped my kids off to see Happy Feet on Saturday & was able to catch Borat while they were in there. It was one of the funnier movies that I've seen in the last 10 years & definitely not for the racially sensitive. About 70% had me laughing out loud, 20% in uncomfortable silence & 10% checking out what hot girls were in the theater.

For about 3-4 days afterwards, my wife was getting irritated with me for chuckling to myself while muttering "Why, did the retard escape?"

It tried really hard to be part "Animal House" and part "American Pie" and thoroughly ripped off both movies.  A few laughs, but not enough to make an effort to see it IMO.

2/5.  3/5 if I were high and/or drunk.

I saw "The Island".  It was okay, but it could have been much, much better.  And the product placements in that movie were really beat-you-over-the-head ridiculous.

3/5-ish.  Maybe a shade less.

Really, Really liked it, except for the last 30 seconds, which i thought as so unnecc. and stupid.

If you get it on DVd supposedly there is an alternate ending in which he just stroll off with the blonde, which I thought would make much more sense.
Where did random dude come from? And to kill him on the steps of the county club? That was retarded. Besides that though I thought it was dope.

I'm a fan of "Layer Cake" and especially the ending.  It's also the reason I knew Daniel Craig would make a good Bond.

I didn't "know" Craig would make a good Bond, but I was excited about the thought of adding realism to the series.  I didn't understand the adverse reaction to Craig's being named.  Roger Moore didn't exactly have the jet black hair that Ian Fleming described in the novels.

I have a few movies on queue. Pirates 2, Superman Returns, and Clerks 2.

I watched half of Pirates 2 and was enjoying it, but had to stop. Will finish it tonight.

As far as Layer Cake goes, yeah, the last 20 seconds was probably unnecessary, but at least it is completely surprising and you don't see it coming. I still thought the movie on a whole was confusing because they didn't spend enough time getting you used to who's who. A lot of characters in it they introduce so quickly.
