so these deals are only terrible for the teams that werent willing to or couldnt ante up

That deal is terrible because Matthews Jr. sucks and no team should have ante up $50 mil for him. Thats crazy. Anaheim has the cash but just because you have it doesn't mean you give it away to a bum. And thats what Sarge Jr. is...a bum.

you can get bum for any amount of money....again the 50 mil doesnt matter to the angels...its a much better deal than the phils giving jon leiber 25 mil
