Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I'm feeling alot better about the signing.

It's a shtein load of money...but he replaces and antique Kenny Lofton...we have the speed and the guy got 204 hits and 58 stolen bases last season.

I think he's well worth it.

Him and Furcal will make a great 1-2 punch at the top of the lineup.

...and we got NOMA too!  :evil

$9M a year for a guy that hits singles, has no arm strength at all and wears camouflage...

Rome

I wouldn't have a problem with the Phillies signing Juan Pierre for a reasonable amount.  $45M isn't reasonable.  It's not even in the same universe as reasonable.

In fact, I'd say a "Pointing and laughing at the Dodgers" thread is called for here.

:-D

PhillyPhreak54

Morneau wins the AL MVP.

Yankee fans are pissed that their boy Jeter didn't get it.

5 million of that is probaby for not being a douche like Drew is.

I'm cool with 200 hits...even if they are bunts...it would set up Furcal nicely!  :evil

Justin Morneau

Unless a guy plays in New York, hunt has no idea who he is.  Trust me, THAT IS INCREDIBLY ACCURATE!

:-D

rjs246

Just for the record, Jeter completely deserved this MVP. I hate the Yankees and bask in their little failures as much as anyone, but come on.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Rome

Maybe baseball writers are just as sick of hearing, reading about, and seeing the Yankees as the rest of America is?

I mean how many times did we turn on baseball on Fox or ESPN during the summer and see the Yankees?  For Christ's sake, all I heard all summer was Yankees/Red Sox, Red Sox/Yankees, blah-blah-blah.  It's nauseating after a while.

I agree as a fan of the game that Jeter had a better year than Morneau, but I honestly believe the nausea factor played a role here.

mpmcgraw

The one time Jeter deserved an award.... :-D

hunt

i have actually heard of morneau, btw.

anybody who didn't have jeter in their top 3 should be shot...damn anti-yankees bias. :boo
