I gave someone the Titans and 13 points against the Ravens last week.  I'm now out $20.

I'm not going near the Titans again.

I never bet the Eagles, because I know I'm betting my heart and not my head.  But if I was betting them, I'd give away the 13.

Today is another big day for the Eagles. With Indy coming to Dallas, and the Giants playing the Jaguars Monday Night, if the Eagles can win today there is a definite chance that they could move up in the division standings.

Dallas will be tested today by the best team in the NFL. It would be great to see Indy beat them and drop them to .500. That would separate us from them by a game, with the Eagles having the better division record.

After looking like crap against the Bears last week, Manning will be looking to bounce back against the Jags. All the teams the Giants have lost too are teams with winning records that are in first place in their respective divisions, and the Giants will play teams currently with winning records in five of their next six games. They have Jacksonville this week, and have the Tennessee, Dallas, Carolina, Philadelphia and New Orleans in the next 5 weeks. That's a tough schedule, especially for a team with so many injuries at key spots. Last week they lost cornerback Sam Madison (hamstring) and tackle Luke Petitgout (broken leg). Also, Tiki Barber suffered an injured finger. Petitgout is most likely out for the year. Osi Umenyiora is listed as doubtful with a hip flexor, which leaves them paper thin at the DE position with Strahan out for at least the next three weeks.

If the beat up Giants can come out of the next five games in first place to play the Skins the last game of the season, then they deserve the division title, but I don't see that happening, imo, they will be lucky to win three of those games. The Jags are a extremely beat up team with a injury report that reads like a novel.  But they are still a dangerous team with plenty of weapons. Fred Taylor has amazingly stayed healthy and has been a big help with Leftwich going down.

This is a must win for the Eagles, especially with having to play Indy next week. Win big today and go up against Indy with a two game win streak, and let's see what happens. There is a chance that the Eagles can win this division if they can play consitantly and not blow up like they did against the Jags.

I wonder if they pound the ball again today?  I hope. I mean I'm all for the big play, but I'd rather see the run game again today, and take calculated shots down the field when the run has been established. I'm going to be happy with Westbrook over 100 yrds rushing and over 50 receiving, Donte at 100 + and 1 TD, but most of all go up early and control the clock . The D dominates all day if the offense sustains long-drives.

A surprise scratch for the Eagles, cornerback Roderick Hood was inactive for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans. Hood missed four of the first eight games of the season with a heel injury. He practiced all week and was not listed on the injury report. Joselio Hanson filled in as the team's nickel corner.
As for the Titans, they were without two starters on defense - cornerback Reynaldo Hill (ankle) and defensive end Travis LaBoy (concussion) because of injuries. Defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth returned to the lineup after a five-game suspension for stomping on the head of Cowboys center Andre Gurode. Haynesworth did not start. Randy Starks started at right defensive tackle. Tony Brown started at defensive end for LaBoy and rookie Cortland Finnegan filled in for Hill.

Linebacker David Thornton, nursing a shoulder injury, did not start at outside linebacker. Middle linebacker Peter Sirmon moved to the outside and Stephen Tulloch moved to the inside linebacker spot.

The other inactive for the Eagles were: quarterback A.J. Feeley, running back Ryan Moats, guard Max Jean-Gilles, tackle Winston Justice, defensive tackle LaJuan Ramsey and wide receiver Jason Avant.

The Titans declared running back Chris Brown, tight end Ben Hartsock, offensive lineman Justin Geisinger, wide receiver Jonathan Orr and defensive ends Josh Savage and Antwan Odom inactive.
