We're planning on seeing "Happy Feet" tomorrow night. Is anyone else going to see this?

I'll probably take the kid to it next week.

There is a movie called "Waiting.." (Yeah, I know) that I was forced to watch.  Don't watch it.  Unless you're in the restaurant business.  Then I guess you might find some of it funny.  :(

THE BRAIN!

Maybe I'm just paranoid but I find it slightly disturbing that this could be going on in restaurants across America.

I take it you never worked in the food business then...because it happens...especially the batwing

I watched the original "The Fly" with Vincent price. I thought it would be cheese but it was actually pretty good in a Hitchcock kind of way. Much better then the Jeff Goldbloom version. What I like about these old movies is the suspense factor. The special effects were amusing but not all that bad for 1958. Neon lighting was probably pretty futuristic then. I'll give it 4 out of 5.

It is a good movie, probably because it was made back in the day when they (Whitey) cared about producing quality instead of just producing something that makes a buck.

I just saw The Departed. I don't know if this has already been discussed, b/c I don't read this thread since I came upon a part where people were discussing the relative merits of Triple-X and I realized my taste in movies is a little different than the average ex-serviceman Eagles fan.

However, this was an excellent movie, ridicously entertaining, even though I had seen the original Hong-Kong Version "Infernal Affairs: already. I saw it at the Mann Chinese, Which is lke the best and biggest theatre ever made with a 8-million foot screen or something. You fools should really watch this one.

It's a classic example of a movie that tries to be both a thoughtful, emotional film and a romantic comedy and hugely fails at both.  Trust me when I say you'd be better off watching "Malibu's Most Wanted" for the 17th time.

I've never had the experience of working in the food business.  I guess I should consider myself one of the lucky ones.  Any of you ever try the Goat?

No, I just don't spellcheck. Dook.

Rome

They're still filming Robodoc up the street from my house.   I took my daughter up there to watch filming.  Totally f'ing cool how they did this one scene.

One of the characters is supposed to be driving at night, so they set up a car in the middle of a parking lot and filmed it with a blue screen behind it.  The director said action and then the filming started.  A strobe light flashed above the car as if on-coming lights were present and then, bam! it looked like a crash happened.  We were watching it on the director's monitor as it happened.  The AD told me that they'll fill in the background and stuff using special effects later.

My daughter's eyes were wide and she kept saying, "Daddy, this is soooooo cool!"

:-D

Now she wants to be a director like the man sitting in the chair.   :paranoid

I got to see them film "The New Guy" at the prison I worked at in Austin. A bunch of the guys and my warden were extras. Since I was on 1st shift we were not allowed to be in the film because we had to work during filming. Only 2nd and 3rd shift guys were allowed.

That DJ Qualls dude was extremely gay. Kool Moe D ended up bangin one of the chicks who worked with us. Jermaine Dupri was a punk bitch. Eddie Griffin was farging hilarious.

And Eliza Dushku was fargin hot.

very true

the movie had no idea what it wanted to be and about every 30 seconds it switched from a beaches type melodrama to a wedding crashers type slapstick comedy....its was more bizarre than bad...but it def wasnt very good
