Items were stolen. We're all standing around cooking and talking and minding our own business. This Eagles fan walked up and tried to steal one of my car flags. I think it was Donita who stopped him, so he reached in my truck and grabbed a taterskins folding chair case thing. He picked it up, smiled. Started walking away, then jogging, then running through a sea of Eagles tailgaters and was gone. I never saw it again. That was uncalled for and it pissed me off.

If you leave your camp for whatever reason, you become vulnerable. What they do when they see you, an opposing fan in their "turf", they size you up and look for something they can use to insult you. In one taterskins fan's case, they saw he had a young daughter, I think she's nine years old. Therefore they insulted her using the loudest and foulest language possible. They also saw Mac's hat, saw he was a military vet, and therefore insulted the military and America, for no other reason but because they knew it would push his buttons.

I can see it now..."Eagle fans hate America! They hate soldiers too! What a bunch of miscreants!"

Regarding the Linc's rules in the stadium as far as no vulgar language will be tolerated, that's an outright lie. There was no enforcement of that what-so-ever. That rule is a joke. You can take that rule and throw it right out the window.

Right. No other NFL fans use foul language. Especially not in FedEx. It's like heaven there, I bet.

Once inside, Kristi and I got our seats and watched the game. A few people had comments when we stood up, cheered our team, etc, but I took it all with a grain of salt. Then came the idiot about 8 rows behind us. Obviously he couldn't get to me, so he started on Kristi. I even made mention to the security RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME to keep an eye out, because it was getting out of hand. Did he do anything? Nope! He just let it go. So what happened? That fan disrespected my daughter, and it was on. But guess what...I was the culprit, so they took me into custody and handcuffed me in front of my 9 year old. Talk about a biased police force! Well, it all worked out, we were moved, that fan was ejected, but not before my daughter was traumatized.

Thanks for your comment. Yeah, that's pretty heavy stuff. But there's no doubt the Eagles are imitating them... If not the nazis, then at least the WWII Germans. There's no question about it. I lived in Germany three years, so I recognized the font right away. If you saw the video, the font, the newsreel-like footage, and heard the singing, you'd agree. The only thing they were missing was a swastika. Thanks again.

The fight song was reputedly the creation of former owner Jerry Wolman's daughter, who, impressed by the "war chant" of the rival Washington taterskins, implored her father to play an Eagles equivalent during their games. With the later sale of the team and move to Veterans Stadium, the fight song was largely forgotten, although a few die-hards could be heard singing the lyrics on special occasions. That it was ultimately brought back to such popular acclaim is testament to the vision of Jeffrey Lurie, whose regime reinstated the practice of playing the song over stadium loudspeakers (with a modern addition of projecting the lyrics on the scoreboard) after Eagle touchdowns. The song is now ubiquitous wherever Eagles fans are found. The song has been heard at Phillies, Flyers, and Sixers games, and even at the Philadelphia Live 8 concert prior to the show. The song is sometimes sung with a slight modification, especially on local radio, in which the lyrics "watch our Eagles fly!" are replaced with "watch those [upcoming opposing team's name] cry!" (e.g. "watch those Cowboys cry!").

Interestingly, the Lurie revival was accompanied by a slight adjustment of the lyrics. Originally, the second line of the song was:

"Fight, Green and White, score a touchdown , one-two-three!"

With Lurie's modernization of team uniforms, however, and the new emphasis on Black and Silver, the mention of the traditional colors was omitted. Few noticed.
