i saw borat this afternoon.  very very funny.

Punch Drunk Love- big PT Anderson fan. but i hate pretentious indy movies that are so self-important. this one kinda felt like one, yet i still enjoyed it. adam sandler was pretty good. not a big fan of "i found someone i love and now im okay even though i used to be really farged up" movies, because just finding some temporary connection doesnt normally cure someones problems. but how would i know.  1/2

They're filming a movie up the street from my house this week called, "Robodoc."

Can't find much about it other than its myspace page but it's a National Lampoon deal, so it's gotta be quality.

I think the problem with National Lampoon is they'll attach their name to just about any project to be able to share in the ancillary profits.

That's fine, though.  They've always been about gutter humor anyway and the world could use more of it, IMO.

I'm still trying to figure out what parts of the Borat movie were "staged" because some of the shtein he does could get him locked up for a LONG time.

The Pam Anderson thing definitely was, but I think the Bed and Breakfast wasn't.

Bed and Breakfast was probably done like the MTV Shows. Like the scene where the dude brings Borat the food, that setup was staged. The cockroaches were put in there. But their general reactions to being in the jew house and running out at 4am was real.

The prostitute he brought to the dinner and later back home was probably an actress.

The bear scene was probably staged.

And I don't think Borat was just randomally hitchhiking and he luckily found frat morons in an RV. That was set-up for him to ride with them, but obviously the altercation in there was real.

Commando is on amctv right now. oh what a great movie
