Trade Rumor: Heard Macnow lastnight say there were a ton of scouts at the game and that a possible Umberger for Roman Hamrlik swap might be in the works.

that should NEVER be allowed to happen.   NO MORE TRADING AWAY YOUTH!
Hamrlik is 32 yr old D-man, that is a career minus-95 (although most of that was his early years).

i hear what youre saying and i would not do that either but umberger is worthless in this league...i know he had a good year last year but hes not what they need....they need speed and creativity....not plodding guys who score by going to the net

Umberger will be a quality player for this team, when they team starts playing/adapting to "new NHL" hockey.

The real problems are that while they get lots of shots (and not so many by going to the net as you believe), they are not quality shots.  They make waaaaay too many open ice mistakes, and can NOT stop speedy/quick-transition opponents.  They need quicker/more decisive D-men...and wings that routinely come back on defense.

As far as creativity, it's non-existant on this team....and neither is passion.

that being said, care to buy some tickets?

i dont know who either guy is, but if one of them is good at goalie they should/nt do it
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Hamrlik was a #1 overall pick.....in 1992

They said on WIP that a deal with Calgary for Iginla is being discussed.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

It wont happen, and if it does, i think the flyers will get raped

They said it was close, but the Flames want that one rookie who's name I don't know how to spell. The Flyers don't want to give him up. His name begins with an S I believe.

He'd be an instant improvement and would make this team watchable again. Still, until they get a semblance of mobility from their defense units this team will fail to make the playoffs - as I predicted.

I predicted Hatcher would be a much better player than last year  :-D
