Uribe and his brother/bodyguard are suspected of shooting and wounding a Dominican farmer and a captain in the Italian Navy with a pistol and a shotgun when the pair walked too close to Uribe's jeep around midnight Friday, authorities said. This lifelong fan of the Redbirds still can't believe they've gotten this far, and are hanging so tough in the post-season, after the terrible second half of the season that included the near fatal collapse in September. 

They still have to win three more, and I don't for a moment believe it will be as easy as last night's win.....

Well, there are two sports-related events I've been waiting for to occur - the Eagles winning a Super Bowl and, since 1982, the Cards winning a 10th World Series, which would make them the only team other than the Yankees to reach double figures in that category. Would also be nice to get revenge on the Tigers for 1968 and Mickey farging Lolich!

We're rooting for our 2nd...which only can come when you make the playoffs more frequently than once every 14 years.

If you guys didn't have Rolen and Edmonds I'd be able to enjoy the Cards a bit more. I just can't stand those two guys.

But this is going to be a good Series. The last two years were sweeps. I wanna see this one go 7 games and be great and dramatic.

The Cameraman Beater has thrown something like 22 consecutive scoreless innings in the playoffs.  What is this guy thinking?  Everyone knows that pitching isn't supposed to step up in big games.  He's really thumbing his nose at the Phillies pitching staff with his performances so far and making them look bad.

Kudos to the media for trying to find something to make this WS worth watching.

I'm still not going to watch.  And every time I see one of those damn Tommy Lasorda commercials, I'm going to reach out to one friend or family member and make sure they're not watching either.  Just doing my part.
