As much as I liked Galloway's article, I *think the "severely outmatched in terms of talent" line isn't true.  I think the Eagles matchup quite well with Dallas.  Obviously Stallworth and Hood would have helped the cause, but I don't think the Eagles are a less talented team than Dallas.

Yeah, I don't see much of a difference talent wise between the two teams. I'd say Dallas has an edge in the LB department, and I'd take Newman in the secondary, but other than that I doubt the phrase "severely outmatched" is applicable.

yeah sure, I'm jealous of this clown who comes up from Dallas.  Idiots.  What do these morons expect?  A farging gift basket!

After finally getting to watch the whole game, I think the Eagles definitely played the better game and are the better team, even if Pasquerfatty says otherwise.  However, I think they got lucky on defense that Bledsoe played a horrific game.  Yes, they got a lot of pressure, but he made a lot of BIG mistakes out of what could have just been sacks or incompletions.  On offense, they also got lucky in that they completely abandoned the running game and the move-the-chains passing game wasn't exactly in high gear either.  The big plays to Smith, Baskett, and Brown were the difference between winning by 14 or losing by 14, IMO.  McNabb deserves a ton of credit for making the plays, but the playcalling was slightly worrisome for long-term success.

That said, Reid put the game square on McNabb's shoulders with no #1 receiver to bail him out, and he delivered in big fashion.  So, if anything, the game shows that McNabb has crossed into a next level of great QB'ing.

In conclusion... Just win, baby.

If this team doesn't find a running game they could go 2-6 after the bye.

Actually, I'd say 1-7 as a worst-case scenario.

ice grillin you

no matter how times you go down it the the second half schedule is still mind boggling

tenn is the dud team....take them out and you have four division games with three of them on the road in a row...then you have arguably the best team in the nfl...the preseason nfc superbowl favorite...and atlanta...not exactly a gimme

this is why i said at the start of the year the key game of the season is the taterskins at home after the bye...you HAVE to win that one and pray for 3-4 in the last seven
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

If they can't win at home after a bye the season is over anyway.

I disagree, but only if they win out before the bye and go into it 7-1.  Then, they'd have the standard confidence-builder to go to 8-2 after the Tennessee game, so everything's still in play despite the 1-2 division record.

That said, if they lose any of the next 3 weeks, Washington is certainly a must-win.

I'll repeat. If they can't win at home after the bye, the season is over anyway.
