I wonder how close Arthur Rhodes lives to where he crashed.

QB Eagles

Now Lidle can throw pitches to Thurman Munson in the afterlife, which for Yankees we have to assume to be Hell.

If it was terrorist, you'd like to think they'd hit a more prestigious target.

The only way I could see this as a terrorist attack would be if it were some type of distraction to draw medical, police, and fire attention to that area, then strike somewhere else.

who are you arguing with?

Not an argument, just an observation.

RIP Cory Lidle. This really sucks.  :'(
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

sucks no more or less than any other average guy that has millions of dollars from playing a game, has 6 months off a year and nothing better to do with his time.

or sucks no more or less when someone dies on the street because they had to go outside to smoke a cigarette and get cought in a crossfire.

In the perspective of life, his life doesn't have more or less value than anyone else, but it sucks more because Cory was a pitcher of a baseball team that I am a fan of. So it obviously is sadder than if some stranger on a street dies in a car wreck.

Even in his dieing hours, he didn't have any control.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Geowhizzer

It's a damn shame.  Thoughts and prayers for his family.

Better than I would have expected.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

I believe I've passed the age of consciousness and righteous rage
I found that just surviving was a noble fight.
I once believed in causes too,
I had my pointless point of view,
And life went on no matter who was wrong or right.

Sooo whats the concensus?  Suicide?

From what I heard, sounds like a combination of mechanical failure, bad weather and inexperience.

Like wingspan i really thought you fargers were joking around about Lidle being the pilot.  As was said at least his family will be well taken care of.  Back in the beginning of the season the Daily News had an article about him getting his pilots license and how he wasnt worried about any problems with his contract over doing something dangerous.
