MURP is putting up some interesting stats.

QuoteSeason Total Dropped Passes:

Stallworth:  3
Brown:        3
Westbrook: 3
LJ Smith:    2
Tapeh:        2
Schoebel:   1
Lewis:        1

No fewer than 2 of those passes would have been TDs (Schoebel and Lewis).  Might have been a TD drop by Stallworth, I don't recall.

It looked to me like Madison had his hands on a pick in the end zone, and at the same time...Stallworth got a hand in there to break it up.  Don't know if I'd consider it a drop.

Can't forget about Reggie's drop in the end zone against the Niners.

MURP... don't remember if anyone suggested this one, but something I saw in this article last week made me think this would be a nice stat to keep track of.

Even though the Eagles D has 16 sacks at this point (13 at the time of the article), it brought up the point that the Eagles still didn't get enough pressure on the QB.  It took into account not just the sacks, but hurries and hits on the QB as well to come up with a % of snaps per game.

Like I said, don't remember if it's been suggested... and don't even know how available the stat is already... but I thought it was a pretty interesting stat.

I managed to catch it on video from the stands if you'd like to see it.  :-\

MURP: I like the targeted/receptions stats.  Could you add success completion percentage as a third column?  This would be great to see for each game, and for the year-to-date...

week four:

Times Targeted / Receptions / Success Rate (%)

----------------------------------------

Brown:  8/3/37.5%

Stallworth: 6/1/16.6%

Baskett: 4/2/50%

LJ Smith: 4/2/50%

Mahe: 3/3/100%

Lewis: 2/2/100%

Buckhalter: 2/2/100%

Tapeh: 1/1/100%

Schoebel: 1/1/100%

Moats: 1/0/0%

The thing about Reggie is all of his drops.  The only thing that is encouraging to me is even when he is dropping them he is getting good seperation. hopefully this is something that will be corrected soon.

This is by far the best of the bunch.

LJ is on pace to surpass the single-season club record for receiving yards by an Eagles tight end (set by Keith Jackson in 1988). He's third in the NFL among tight ends for both receptions and yards.

Did Reggie really have 4 drops Monday? I thought he had like two.

MURP, you're site is pretty dope. Keep it up! :yay

One *fun* stat that is easy to keep track of but found on NFL.com.... Team Reception Stats but it shows that currently we have over 31 plays over 20 Yards, 11 more than the next team (St. Louis) and we have 7 plays over 40 Yards, 2 more than the next team (Chicago).

I was just feeling left out with the suggestions, but its a pretty cool stat to drool on...especially when our team is leading both categories.

Anyways, get back to your family.

good find hbionic.  Id be interested to see what the NFL season record is for that.  At their current pace, the eagles must be close to matching it or better by the end of the year.
