Go Twins.

'cause I like Torii Hunter

You and me both.  I'm also rooting for the Tigers to knock off the Yanks.

The A's games are at 10am PT on a weekday.  Good scheduling...

Sgt PSN

Sweet.  Nobody will be able to watch those games.

rjs246

Tampa Bay had a winning record at home this year and still managed to lose over 100 games. That's good stuff.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

First time in MLB history, I think?  Because of the Royals' surge, the Rays have the 1st pick in the draft again...

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

And yet they'll be participating in the postseason for the same amount of time as the Phillies.

MDS

We've been around for 100 more years than them, yet have only played in 10 more playoff series.

The Phils have a rich history of ineptitude that the other Philly teams are buying into.

MDS

Have been buying into. The Eagles joined after 1960, Sixers after 1983, and since hockey doesn't count, well, thats it.

Lack of championships is one thing.  I'm talking about decent teams and playoff teams.  The Sixers were making the playoffs a lot but aren't going to bother with that for the next few years.  The Flyers look to be going that direction.  The Eagles had a nice run but laid an egg last year and have no guarantees to play in the postseason this year.

Anyway, this is about the rest of baseball... which, coincidentally, is better than the Phillies.  Because they are a bunch of a suck-ass choking dogs that should all slit their own throats so we can start over.  Except Howard.  And I guess Utley.  And Hamels.  Maybe Victorino.  But that's about it.

Frank Robinson is done in Washington

Felipe Alou is done in San Francisco

Dusty Baker (and team president Andy MacPhail) are done in Chicago

Joe Girardi will be done in Florida as early as tomorrow

Texas is debating firing Buck Showalter

PhillyPhreak54

To the surprise of no one - Girardi was fired.

Also to the surprise of no one Fredi Gonzalez was hired to replace him....like 3 hours later.

What I wonder is if Fredi was outside honking his horn so Girardi would get the hell out of his parking space?

Girardi will probably replace Dusty in CHI - once again to the surprise of no one.
