I wouldn't call a defense bad if going into week 3 they had 13 sacks. You can't blame the defense when the offense can't stay on the field for more than 4 downs for an entire quarter and your defense is dead tired, unable to get penetration.  If Reid would of called the game better we would of had it no doubt.

When you have the lead, you manage the clock, you attempt to run the ball. If Reid can't figure this out or find a way for it to work this year, he's gone. No more excuses.

Yeah, well, let's say I'm not confident the team of Brown, Hanson and Wynn can make a huge impact in the secondary.
And the SF line has kept Alex Smith clean through 2 weeks, albeit vs. Arizona and St Louis.  They've also minimized his exposure, with a heavy dose of running game.

I don't see how a defense starting Joselio Hanson will hold the 49ers to less points than they've scored in a game this year.  I think the Eagle offense will have to outscore the 49ers, and I think they will do just that.
