Actually, it doesn't matter.  We still need the depth.  Lito seems somehow more injury-prone than Westbrook.  We need the insurance policy.  And it's not like Dawk is getting any younger.  Having some flexible depth in that defensive backfield, for a team with playoff aspirations, isn't a bad thing.

Are you suggesting that they should cut Joselio?!?  For shame!

Zanshin

I'm quite sure he's the second coming...

...but count me in for wanting a guy with legitimate big-game experience in a pinch, if at all possible.

Get Vincent, cut Wynn..give return duties to Mahe.

And since it appears that I have to spell the obvious out for FF...all of this assumes that he even shakes loose from the Bills IR.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Yeah, God forbid I question the "genius" of bringing in an injured 35-year-old for secondary depth.

Zanshin

Where exactly did I say genius?  Let me ask you this.  It's the NFC Championship game, and Lito goes down with an injury.  Hood moves over to start.  Would you seriously want Hanson over Vincent on the field?

You didn't have to.  You said that anyone who wouldn't want him back is "semi-retarded".

If Vincent is not 100% healthy and hasn't been playing enough to be in game shape?  Hanson.

Zanshin

I thought we went throught that "it goes without saying" bit.  Assuming Vincent is healthy and has been since at least Week 5.

He's still 35, then.

All I'm saying is that the "semi-retarded" comment was overdone.  I'm not saying which decision I'd make if in that position, only that it's not as simple as you're claiming, considering his age and the Bills' willingness to possibly part with him.

Jesus farg, someone get a Kleenex for FF, stat!

I really don't think it was.  You either want veteran depth, or you don't.  And not wanting it would be pretty stupid.  The Bills reportedly don't want him because he has so much influence in the locker room, not because of his play.  That's why the veteran players are upset.

Zanshin

Moreover, we're talking about someone who knows the defense and would bring experience on the cheap.  That's the kind of thing the Eagles like.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Bringing Hugh back for veteran depth was genius.

Actually, I don't think that worked out too horrendously.  Pretty much what was expected; maybe a little less.  That said, I was happy to have him around.  And Troy has shown more recently than Hugh had at that point.  But keep on trying.
