A lot of this is getting lost in the Texans game thread.

My initial thought is that the Giants outplayed a good Indy team last night, but lost.  They will come into the Linc next week angry and hungry, and if the Eagles don't show up and play smart, intense football... Let's just say that the Giants are looking like a good team overall.  Very good.

The Colts were without their "run-stuffer" Corey Simon, but is their front seven really that bad, or is the Giants' running game really that good?  I think it's some of both.

The Giants' offense should be scary to every team in the league.

The key to beating them will QB pressure. If the Eagles can get to Eli, and keep the Giants from getting to McNabb, the Eagles should win. If they give Eli time are are chasing McNabb around the backfield all day this game is a loss.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Before I go on to say anything else in this thread, I have to say Tiki deserves mad respeck!!  The guy is dangerous.

He was nothing short of awesome last night.  No TDs, but every time the guy got a touch, they had to move the chains.

Barber - 18 carries for 110 yards - a 6.2 ypc average.
Jacobs - 8 carries for 54 yards and a TD - a 6.8 ypc average.

Even with that, Coughlin called more pass plays than runs.  I guess he got caught up in the Manning Bowl hype too.

#1 the defense has to have a huge game (including some turnovers on the giants side of the field) because i dont see the eagles offense going toe to toe with the giants

that happens and the birds win

i personally dont they they are good enough to do that

tho likely not to happen it would also be nice to see the o line dominant like they were yesterday

id like to see the eagle try to exploit the interior of the giants dl...imo they are weak there and andrews runyan vs robbins joseph et al is a mismatch that needs to be exploited....it would also limit the amount of time that strahan and osi can try to work their magic off the edges...again not going to happen but a man can wish...

Jacobs is farging huge.  He's still pretty damn rough, but he's way faster than a man that size should be.  I think Tiki's performance was closer to what we can expect from him than Jacobs' performance.  Either way, Philly's D needs to wipe the smile of victory off their faces and get to work.  It's gonna be tough.

If the Eagles can be aggressive enough to get to the QB-- without getting gashed by the run-- they'll win.  If not, they won't.

The Giant's running game looked really good last night, but a lot of that had to do with the Colt's pass rushers getting too wide and/or manhandled.  The speed/aggressiveness of Freeney and Mathis were exploited time and again.

I also think this could be one of those games where we see McNabb run more than usual.

We say that a lot, and it never happens.  Just like the Colts did on the edges, I hope McNabb is able to take a step or two up to avoid the outside rush and make plays down the field.  The Colts' interior line buckled a few times, and I'm hoping the Eagles can avoid that.

I don't say that much.  But I'll go out on that limb this week.  I'll say McNabb scrambles for a few key first downs.  Hopefully, the Giants will then have to dedicate more of a spy to open up the pass.

Considering he didn't in week 1, I'd just be glad if he helped the team running the ball more than the opposing QB.

That offense goes completely around Tiki, if they dedicate themselved to limiting his yardage they can win.

the giants o-line stuffed the best pass defender in the game.  this is my biggest concern.  if we don't get pressure on Eli we could be in for a long day.  Our D needs to step it up.  I'm not too concerned about our offense, we should be able to score on their D.

Stuffed, yes.  But Freeney was also double/triple teamed all night.  The Colts were not getting any pressure from anywhere along that line.  With Howard we finally saw Kearse in backfield and got good push from our DL.  The same can be said about Freeney...that the Colts need to add someone or someone has to step up along that Dline to take some focus off of him.
