Padres win, so the Phils are tied with the Giants and Marlins for 2nd in the WC race, 2.5 back

Phillies @ Braves (no Smoltz)
Padres @ Reds
Mets @ Marlins
Rockies @ Giants
Astros @ Cardinals (Oswalt pitching Wednesday, so the Phils will avoid him too  :yay )

We get a lefty in the 3rd game of the Atlanta series, so that will probably be the next time Burrelli plays.

Clemens, Pettitte and someone else (probably Wandy Rodgriguez) for the Astros series this weekend. That could make for 2 more times Burrelli plays. Joy.

However, we will miss the big 3 for the makeup game. But by then, it could be over. Or will be. Probably.

the phillies are a .500 team

oh but they got an easy schedule so they will definitely make the playoffs

i didnt know .500 teams could have easy schedules
