It's not as bad as Todd Pinkston's injury - swelling in the vaginal wall
So THAT's why he has been turning me down.

two teams have made Deion Branch a six-year, $36 million contract offer.

One of the teams is reportedly the New York Jets. The Patriots would reportedly receive a second-round pick and a "pretty good" player in return. According to PFTalk, the deal has hit a snag because it was supposed to be finished Friday. Stay tuned.

I wouldnt be surprised its its McCareins--which I cant understand why, with the no talent they have at WR

The Stallworth deal is looking more and more like a raping.

The Saints truly believe that Colvert has the tools to be a big factor on that WR core this year, more so than Stallworth. They were saying he has truly impressed and made his mark in the training camp---whatever

By the way--reports Im hearing all over is that NE now wants (2) 1st rd'ers for Branch. Take the needle out of your forearm Bill

now we get to see this saga unfold with Branch being salty as a motherf'er and a grievance filing

seahawks.com beatwriter Mike Kahn was on KJR saying he thinks that Pasquerelli's article was a feed from Branch's agent and that there was never a deal in place with the Seahawks.

Wingspan

Pasquerelli's entire career is fed off of relationships with agents.

Is there really a chance that Kubiak puts Davis on IR?

Dio,

Rotoworld:
Domanick Davis is expected to be placed on injured reserve, according to Houston Chronicle writer John McClain.
McClain, one of the most dependable NFL writers in the country, would be "shocked" if Davis plays this season. We'll find out Saturday if he'll go in I.R.. In the meantime, keeping moving Wali Lundy and Vernand Morency up your board. Sep. 1 - 6:06 pm et

QuoteCOBB TRADE MEANS DUCE WILL BE LOOSE?

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that the Steelers have acquired rookie running back Patrick Cobbs from the Patriots for an undisclosed draft pick.

Cobbs went undrafted after playing last year at North Texas State.  His arrival likely means that either Duce Staley or rookie Cedric Humes will be dumped by the Steelers when final roster cuts are made.

Last year, the Steelers carried four tailbacks:  Staley, Willie Parker, Jerome Bettis, and Verron Haynes.  Staley was the odd man out for much of the year, placed repeatedly on the eight-player inactive list.
