now, all he has to do is learn rocket science and he can help the team

That role is by far the easiest WR position on the Eagles squad.  Basically run in a straight line real fast.

Excellent news.

Although he was an underachiever up until last year, he started to make waves. And anyone who can put up good numbers with that bum Aaron Brooks throwing to you - you're good. Real good.

Whats hilarious is the Cowboys and ExtremeHomers say its no big deal. F;in dickbags.

Stallworth
Baskett
Avant
McCants
Lewis
Gaffney

Those last 3 are fighting it out. Gaffney is likely the odd man out because he doesn't cover punts or kicks. And only Gregge and Darneian make it if they keep 6.

SunMo

yeah, you're probably right.  but he can be more than that, he's a good run after catch guy.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

yeah stallworth is less a go route guy and more a crossing route get him in space to work his magic kind of wr

The BIGSTUD

How long does it take him to get worked in? Does he start in week 1?
Calling it right on the $ since day one.

Beautiful trade... just beautiful.

A 25 year old burner... exactly what the Eagles WR corps needed.  The consistent deep threat they needed and good enough to take a whole lot of pressure off of Brown.  I feel SO much better about this corps now.  This pretty much means the end of Pinkston too.  Thanks for the memories Pinky... I'll never forget the 2003 NFCCG.

You probably can't slap the smile of McNabb's face today.  :-D

I've got no problems giving up a 3rd for a young WR who should be around for a long while (since I can't see them giving up a 4th for a 1 year rental).

At least when they throw that quick hitter on the sideline like they always used to do with Pinky, this guy might be able to break it as opposed to make one move and falling over.

Betcha Simoneau's old lady and her family were pissed off.

Sim's father-in-law was the Saints TE coach for 6 years while Haslett ran the team.

He gets let go when Haslett is canned (and is now in Wisconsin with the Badgers) and now Mark is traded to NO

absolutely a great effin trade....this is the playmaker ive been calling for since i wanted sinorice in the draft...a deathly slow offense just got a lot faster

kudos to andy for admitting he was wrong
It also got rid of a white LB, so that's a bonus for you.

Awesome trade. I checked out PE.com just to see what the current articles were and saw they traded for Stallworth and let out a big "SWEET!" Deep speed on the O is a fantastic thing. See ya, Pinky you slacker. Now to get another back and cut Mahe's dead weight too and I'll be one hell of a happy camper.

I'm just glad he's gone because he sucked.

I rate this trade an A, it turns to an A+ if he becomes an impact player and they sign him to a contract extension.  Any type of news/rumors on that front? Walker and Lelie both signed extensions didn't they?

Lelie, no. Walker, yes.

Annd they give up a 3 if they sign Stallworth to an extension - a 4 if they don't.

I believe they'll sign him. They have money.

TexasEagle

I'm assuming it's going to be an inseason consideration given that the pick can become a 3rd for the Saints if he signs on long term. Knowing that I can see the brain trust working on contract numbers already given how he plays for the first half of the season if not sooner.
