Brilliant pickup by the Mets.  Opponents are hitting .298 against him with a whopping .920 OPS.

Heard on ESPN Radio this morning that Tom Glavine will not need surgery, and may pitch as early as next week.

Glad to see this good news after dire predictions of his career being over yesterday.

Thats the best news Ive heard in a while.

Duque, Trax & Maine going into the DS had me a bit nervous. Hopefully Pedro comes back, and we'll be good to go.

I like Mota...even though he beaned Piazza in spring training a few years ago. The guy throws a million miles an hour, and when his contol is there, hes a very good guy out of the pen. He's no Dirty Sanchez, but he'll do.

1. Glavine's deal is not nearly as bad as expected.  :yay

2. Shawn Green will add another nice bat to the lineup.  :yay

3. Delgado hits 2 HR's, 1 solo and his 400th career... which was a GS.  :yay

4. Beltran hits 2-run walkoff homer... giving the Mets their 5th win in a row.  :yay
