Pfft... what kind of Eagles fans are you?

You're all aiming way too low with respect to T.O.

Death on the Linc Turf is the only acceptable fate for him.

Disclaimer: I'd take his irreversible paralysis, though, in a pinch.

rjs246

I would accept reversible paralysis as long as it came and went unpredictably. So you know, one second he can feel everything and move just fine and then WHAMO paralyzed and soiling himself for three hours.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

QuoteThe Vikings placed nose tackle Pat Williams on the physically-unable-to-perform list today, meaning he is barred from practicing with the team.

Coach Brad Childress said that Williams reported to camp overweight. Apparently, Williams, 33, also did not pass his conditioning test this morning. Childress would not say how heavy Williams is, nor would he elaborate on Williams' conditioning level. But Childress indicated Williams will need perhaps a week or more to get himself into practice-quality condition.

Childress has harped on conditioning since he took the Vikings job in January, and his decision to sideline Williams — one of the team's best players in 2005 – is significant. There is now no doubt that Childress will use his hammer if players don't meet his expectations.

Shockey calls Coughlin an "ass"

QuoteAmong other things, he said he's not going to stop partying, and he called his coach, Tom Coughlin, an "ass." He tried to make it sound as if he meant it in a nice way, but calling your coach names just isn't a good idea. It doesn't even matter if he deserves them. There are some things you don't do.

He also reportedly threw down his helmet after Eli didn't throw him a pass.

More on the Shockey thing from the NY Post

QuoteAfter an over-the-top Giants practice session that he spent fuming and fussing, Jeremy Shockey last night staggered off the field clutching his head.

Shockey was hit high with a glancing blow from safety Will Demps while lunging for an Eli Manning pass over the middle that fell incomplete. Shockey remained down on the grass for a few seconds, clearly shaken. A few minutes later, when practice ended, he walked off away from his teammates, accompanied by assistant trainer Byron Hansen, appearing slightly dazed. He nearly could not make it down a flight of stairs, clutching onto a metal railing for support.

Thus ended a bizarre evening for Shockey, who trudged around the field, cursing and complaining. When Manning failed to locate him on a deep pattern, Shockey screamed, "Throw me the [bleeping] ball!" and when he got back to the sideline he angrily flung his helmet to the ground, the first of two helmet-tosses by Shockey.

What was eating him? Who knows? Earlier in the day a topic of discussion was his comment on Sunday about coach Tom Coughlin. "He can be an ass sometimes but that's what your head coach can be, that's what you need," Shockey said.

Coughlin said his interest was piqued when he spotted headlines trumpeting Shockey's words.

"I don't know, my wife has called me that a few times," Coughlin said. "I don't really think he was trying to disrespect me. As I said, I've been called worse.

Coughlin said he'll speak with Shockey, but added, "I am not going to make it a big deal, let's put it that way."

Shockey after lunch did not want to elaborate, saying, "Everyone puts me under a microscope. It's unfortunate, but it's how [the media] is. I can't control it."

Receiver Plaxico Burress, who at times last season ran afoul of Coughlin, in less colorful language than Shockey admitted he'd like the head coach to lighten up.

"I feel me and him can be a little bit more player-coach related as far as just laughing and joking and things like that," Burress said. "He's one of those guys, he doesn't take jokes very well. We're working on that. Have a little more sense of humor, come out and have a little fun and enjoy it, not be so much of just a work, work, work atmosphere."

With the heat rising and the Giants in full pads for the first time, Burress made this prediction prior to the evening practice: "There's gonna be a fight tonight, mark my words." There were two minor scuffles. ... Rookie WR Sinorice Moss has a strained quad muscle.

No the whole talent thing gives him an excuse to stick around for another year if he wants to.

Former 1st rounder Rashaun Woods (drafted with a pick the Eagles originally owned) was waived today by San Diego after being traded a few months ago for former 1st rounder Sammy Davis (also drafted with a pick the Eagles originally owned).

I wouldn't be surprised if the Eagles put in a claim on Woods, though... even though he seems to suck.  It's not like SD had a killer group of WR's.

Saints trade Michael Bennett to the Chiefs

Obviously Priest is done so they needed a somewhat decent backup. Good move.

Isn't Woods like 6'5" tall?  Skinny as a rail?  Perfect fit here.
Anyone but Reid.

6'2", 202, according to his NFL.com profile

So, he had 7 catches for 160 yards (22.9 avg) and a TD his rookie year (2004).
He had no catches in 2005, and was traded in the off-season for first-round disappointment Sammy Davis.
Now, he's been waived from the Chargers.

My best guess is his talent was overrated, and his ability to learn an offense is worse than suspect.  GET HIM!
