Collatoral was okay.  Just barely okay, though.

Its only major downfall was trying to pitch Jada Pinkett Smith as a serious actress.  She can't act worth a lick.  Both Foxx and Cruise were excellent, and I thought the pace of the movie was exciting.

Rome

Mrs. Will Smith can't act a lick but she's still hot.

And I agree with IGY about Vanilla Sky.  Absolutely horrible movie.  Unwatchable even under the influence of Class A narcotics.

I agree it was an entertaining flick, but at the end it starting going downhill. Where Jamie Foxx flipped that cop over and then Tom Cruise happens to pick the right subway car to jump onto. It just seemed too coincidental. It was a fun movie though.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

You mean pot?  Because, you know, the really interesting drugs (crack, heroin, meth) are class B.
Anyone but Reid.

I'll allow any movie a somewhat reasonable degree of "movie magic".  Some movies (like Transporter 2) are ridiculous and others take a few liberties here and there.

I watched Why We Fight.  Thought it was very interesting and well done.  The only thing I really didn't like about was the Ret. Lt. Col from the Air Force for some reason she rubbed me the wrong way and I did not trust her.  The person I liked the most was the retired NY Cop he was the most genuine and real person in the film.  The title was perfect for the movie, because like the film the answer to that is a very complex one.

I saw Jarhead. I thought it was okay, but not much happened. Not awful, but not all that great either.

7.3/10

My old lady watched that Johnny Cash movie last night, so I saw most of it too.  I just can't sit still for a whole movie.  Anyway, well made flick.  Witherspoon stole the movie, but Phoenix was damn good too.
