Saw part of something called Sky High tonight. It was about these superhero kids or something, and was extreamly retarted but kinda fun. Featured Kurt Russell, Kelly Preston (still hot), Lynda Carter (still hot), Dave Foley, Scott Thompson (still weird) and Farva from Super Troopers.  :cfhead :cfhead :cfhead
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I've seen that movie.  But I have the excuse of having a small child.

It was cute, though.

Did anyone here see Munich?

I saw it today and I felt the movie was incomplete. Nothing was ever wrapped up or explained at the end, which left me sort of disappointed.

Solid movie though.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Munich was more of the same Spielbergian nonsense. Trying too hard to make the audience like the main character without giving any feeling or dedication to an idea of right or wrong. The movie was scared to take a side and therefore had a very after-school-special-like theme of "violence is bad". Great, my mom would be so proud of you Steve! Pass.

i thought it was better that he didnt take a side...but instead showed what hate does to people regardless of belief...it would have been to easy for him to have made a pro isreali film...i thought it was brave of him not to do that...

overall the movie was solid but to long...i enjoyed it but would never have a desire to watch it again

saw war of the worlds last night on hbo...i generally cant stand sci fi but it was better than i thougfht it would be but not very good overalll...didnt really get what killed the machines at the end...was it eating the humans that killed them??

it was bacteria or some shtein in the ground that killed them.  i thought that movie was pretty great and fun to watch for the first hour and a half, then the end ruined.  i know thats how it happens in the book but its still retarded.

If they died from bacteria, then the movie actually stayed pretty true to the book.

It was the flu.  Implied but never said.

Just got back from A Scanner Darkly. I was really psyched about seeing it but it didn't really live up to my expectations. Most of the movie was made up of drug-induced dialogue between the main characters. Most of the dialogue was entertaining and the back and forth between Robert Downey, Jr. and Woody Harrelson was really entertaining, but none of it contributed to a storyline. In fact, you have to basically wait until the last 20 minutes of the movie for any story to really emerge. I guess I'll give it 3/5 because I enjoyed the dialogue and the ending was pretty good, but it wasn't nearly as good as it could have been.

saw a doubleheader of wilson brothers/mediocre comedy movies yesterday.

first went to see My Super Ex-Girlfriend.  OK.  I laughed a few times, and both Uma Thurman and Anna Farris are nice to look at, but the movie wasn't that great.  Very cheeseball ending.

then saw You, Me, and Dupree.  copy and paste from above, but substitue girls for Kate Hudson.  Ending might have been even cornier than the first one.

Anyway, they are both ok i guess for rentals, don't bother going to see them in the theaters unless you're really stoned.

The Lady in the Water - M. Knight keeps putting out consistently weird, yet creative/original movies.  this movie had me laughing histarically at times and jumping out of my seat the next.  Paul Giamatti should be up for best-actor in his role.  All the actors did well, there was really no unbeliveable characters.  It's suppposed to be a modern day fairy tale, so it had elements of fantasy.  If you don't have much of an imagination, prob wouldn't bother going to see it.  If you do and are an M. Knight fan, go see it.  I enjoyed it  :yay :yay 4/5
