yeah, sorry.  i didn't pay much attention to the second one because that was easy and the game was over  for all intents and purposes

The second goal was pretty slick as well but yeah, it wasn't impressive like the first one was.  Lehman is no joke...and he had effectively NO chance of stopping that blast.

Now I'm forced to root for France so I don't have to watch the farging diving, shtein eating, whining, pissing, moaning, screaming, leg clutching Portugese play Italy in the final.

And France is up 1-0 in the final after one of their players took a dive in the box. Sweet PK by Zidane though.

Extra time! Italy historically sucks at penalty kicks so they'll be looking to end this here as they did against Germany.

Zidane is playing injured in his last game for the French national team.

Both teams look tired as hell, but France has 2 subs still available.

Italy carried the play in the first half.  They still look good on a lot of restarts and corners, but for the most part, France has carried the play since the half.

Still 1-1 after the first OT. Italy looks like they have absolutely nothing left in the tank, and you have to wonder how much longer they'll be able to hang with the likes of Henry and Zidane.

Buffon made an incredible save on a fierce Zidane header just a minute ago. For me, Buffon is the Man of the Match so far. If Italy can hang on for another 15, they'll need him in top form for penalty kicks.

We go to penalty kicks! Italy has a poor record at these but Buffon is clearly the superior keeper...

Amazing that in front of 1 billion people and in his final international match, Zidane has shown himself to be a poor sportsman (by executing a vicious foul that has no place in sports) and a poor teammate (by putting his team down 1 player in overtime at the World Cup Final). The legacy of one of the game's all-time greats has really been tainted.
