My company sent an email yesterday giving us an extra holiday on Monday, due to the "inconvenient timing of a Tuesday holiday." 

Happy Independence Day to all!  Be safe, grill animal carcasses, and drink plenty of adult beverages.

my company closed on monday as well. and on top of an abundance of vacation time, i am not working another friday for the next 6 weeks after.
