Hey, I'm not saying that he wouldn't be great for the Phils. He probably would be, but to try and differentiate between he and Snyder is something that only slightly blinded die-hard Eagles fans would do.

* sighs *

Why do I even bother?

I also have Bronson Arroyo.

Speaking of him, wouldn't it have been nice to have gotten him for J-Mike instead of Arthur Rhodes?

If they give up Arroyo for Willy Mo, its a lock that JMike gets him.

Phils win.

now only 8.5 out.

I don't know about being a lock, Phreak.  Pena's young (24) and has the "potential" label as a potential power-hitting OF.  Michaels has been a servicable starter when called upon.  He has little power (current slugging pct. is .393, and averages just over .400), and is 30 years old.

I don't think that Michaels gets you Arroyo.

PhillyPhreak54

You're probably right. I just remember the Sox being real interested in Michaels. So maybe it would've taken JMike plus something else. In hindsight I would've sent him and Floyd or something else.

And considering that Gillick knows how bad the SP is and was even coming out of ST, I think he should've tried harder to get a guy like Arroyo.

In hindsight, I would have packed Floyd's bags and drove him to Fenway myself.  Arroyo is a good pitcher- not a #1, but a solid #2, and he's got one of those ringy thingys.

PhillyPhreak54

Yep. He'd be a nice option to have in that rotation instead of Lidle. even though I like Lidle.

Griffey got all up in El Duque's bidness.

ps- there isnt anything about cuban thats even close to likeable

I disagree, but whatever. He seems to at least have some personality. Snyder is a stuffed shirt. And a taterskins fan.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Jose Valentin hits a 2 run shot to put the Mets up 5-4 after 7  :yay

Jose Reyes hitting for the cycle goes for naught... Wags with the blown save.

Ah well... the rest fo the NL East lost too so no harm done.

I don't care anymore.  I'm just happy that Alpaca Boy lost again and got booed on national TV

I hate to admit it, but Wagner pitching in the postseason scares me.

Hey, I guess at least we'll be in the postseason.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Nice attempt at trash talk.  Do you realize that Tom Gordon is severely outpitched Billy Wagner?  Sad.
