If the Mets win tomorrow's game... that'll make them 9-1 on their 10 game road trip.  That's huge going into a 6 game homestand against the O's and the Reds.

Starts with Trachsel vs. Lidle though...

The Mets might as well just finish off the sweep.  Lidle sucks anyway, so it should be easy.

DH

It's well underway. 4-0 Mets Mid 1.  :)

PoopyfaceMcGee

Almost worse than skins fans.  Almost.

Uh yes.  The Mets always try to go out and buy themselves a team.  This year, it's actually working for a change.

skins = Mets

That point could be argued, at least. Comparing Mets fans to Skins fans is laughable. Skins fans are the biggest joke in all of professional sports.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

PoopyfaceMcGee

True, but Mets fans still COMPARE.  skins fans are just always a little "ahead" of the pack.

DH

Minaya is a genious compared to Snyder. For that matter Minaya is better than McIlvaine, Duquette or any of the other losers who have run this team since Frank Cashen left.

In other words, get used to this.

PoopyfaceMcGee

It could be worse.  It could be the Braves winning.

But still... rooting for both the Eagles and Mets should ban you from life.

If anyone was honestly comparing Feva & Die-Hard to Skins fans instead of merely busting their stones, you might have a point.

I will agree, however, that Skins fans are a joke.

BTW: The fact that the Phillies have the 12th largest payroll in baseball is a joke especially considering their stadium is just over two years old and the team is located in the fifth largest market in the country.

Also - @ Feva... that $13M equates to two quality starting pitchers.  If the Phillies had two quality starters going every fifth day and not the gutter bums they routinely trot out there, they'd have a very good team instead of merely a mediocre one.

I feel ya... but being that #14 has the best record in baseball (although not by percentage)... says that it's not how much you spend, but who you spend it on.  The main difference in comparing Minaya to someone like 'ol Danny Boy.
