Andrews will be a guard in this league for the rest of his career, book it. And if he's going to be as good as the Eagles think he is they just made themselves a great deal.

He will soon be blocking the other teams three best pass rushers on every play, I'm sure.

If it's only three, I'll be disappointed.

For that kind of money he should block the LOLB, MLB, LDE and the LDT. He should also be our short yardage back and emergency punter!!1

That fastest TE label died the second Vernon Davis was drafted. Gates is the best TE though until proven otherwise.

To me LJ just needs to hang on to the ball. He's very good at getting open, but he just needs to hang on to the ball.

So, in closing, he should hold on to the ball?

Wait, is someone insinuating that LJ has a fumbling problem? Huh. How bout that.

Quote"When I first came back to the team and I was running with the second-team [defense]... I gave him everything I got," Trotter said. "I had to walk around with an ice pack on my back for the next two or three days. Don't get me wrong, he felt it, too. But that's a big cat."

Andrews returned from his injury after his rookie season significantly overweight last season, but he still played well enough to earn a spot as the first alternate for the Pro Bowl.

"He's good," Trotter said. "I said it when he first came in that he has a lot of potential. I said then that he has a chance to be a Larry Allen [the former Dallas Cowboys star]... if he kept himself in shape."

QuoteThen, two of the elite interior offensive linemen in the game - LeCharles Bentley and Steve Hutchinson - signed free-agent deals with Cleveland and Minnesota, respectively, and that gave the Eagles and Andrews a measuring stick for his worth.

So the Eagles essentially took what they were prepared to give Bentley and gave it to Andrews. Obviously all signings like this are a risk, but the Eagles have a good track record of doing this.

And locking him up early helps down the road.

Bentley and Hutchinson cashed in. Their deals were step ups from what the Lions gave Damien Woody a couple of years ago. And we know that the markets continue to go up, so locking him up early is smart.

Bentley would have gotten even more than this, IMO... but sure.

Zanshin

Forget the Tackle or Guard talk.  Clearly, they're giving him "big back" money.
