Brito is still a better option than Franklin. Is there a point in calling up Matheison, Haigwood or Gonzalez for what will amount to 3 or 4 starts? Or re-calling Floyd for the same. They don't need the 5th starter until saturday. By the all-star break, both Wolf and Lieber should be back. I do believe Brito is the best option. If Floyd pitches well again in AAA, maybe him. But, he will have to vacate that spot once the two vets come back. Is that good for his confidence? Is it worth it?

Despite his total lack of talent, I have a feeling that Franklin will get the start on saturday. I thought his knack for blowing games cost him any chance of pitching in a meaningful role ever again, but I was wrong. Looks like we might have to suffer one more game at the hands of Franklin to get the message through to Uncle Charlie and Cousin Pat that he simply sucks ass.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

How many options does Floyd have left?

MDS

Probably a bunch. He's been sent down twice in his career, once this season. I don't think they'd call him up unless the rotation goes to total shtein.

Damien Jackson's better be on his knees thanking God for that catch.  :boom

The Nats have their own version of Chris Wheeler:  "He just plays the game the way it's supposed to be played."

Dellucci blows, he strikes out 1/3 of his plate appearances.

Burrell should be dropped in the order to 5 or 6, Howard is a bona fide #4.

Don't want three lefties hitting 2-3-4. (Utley-Abreu-Howard).  Have to divide them up somewhat.

hes essentially a pinch hitter whos hit like .340 his last 20 games

hes a good guy off the bench...for anyone to call him out is to be reaching big time

I did, he sucks. I also missed the last 2-3 weeks of the season due to working down the shore.
