The fact is the state has no evidence has against the Taylor and are willing to drop the entire thing.  Not that Taylor definitely didn't do it but they really have absolutely nothing but the witnesses who happen to be the same people who shot up Taylor's friend's house.

If they absolutely "had nothing", wouldn't they just drop the charges completely instead of taking a plea deal? It looks to me like both sides had tenuous arguments.

Also - if they had "no evidence" against him, then why the farg did he take the plea deal?  Why would an "innocent" man ever accept a guilty plea of any sort?  I sure as hell wouldn't.
