No mention of Sal's awesome play?  Hey...at least he didn't throw it to 2nd!  :-D

I saw that.  Reminiscent of Lonnie Smith's throwing.

I wanted to kill Sal on that play.  Right after I stopped laughing at him.  :-D :boom

Rome

Coste is 33 years old.  His future likely lies in selling insurance.

PC - Roberson and Hamels are the only original Phils draft picks on that Red Barons team.  The rest consists of castoffs from other teams.  Although they may get a chance to help the main team during a DL stint or something, none of them are expected to do anything significant in the majors...

MDS

I can't see how Hamels will not be up here sooner or later. The starting pitching has been pretty bad. Kids gonna deserve a shot if he continues to absolitley dominate AAA.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Thanks Ed.  I guess I was hoping King was an acquired good prospect.  At least I got to see Hamels.

Nice win by the Phils, coming back after the Braves had taken the lead in the 8th.  The old Braves don't blow that lead.

Big hit by Rowand, opposite field.  :yay

Gordon has been money. :yay

And I had to laugh when Marcus Giles bounced off Ryan Howard on that ground ball in the 9th.  Howard didn't move at all.  He could be a run stopper for the Eagles.  :-D

SD_Eagle5

Rowand's one heck of a ballplayer. Gordon = lights out.

One thing made me chuckle tonight, having to watch the game on Turner South.  :puke

When Andruw Jones struck out looking in the 8th, the announcers went OFF on how far outside the pitch was.  Not that I don't agree, but I found it ironic that announcers for the team whose best pitchers for YEARS lived about 3-6 inches off that outside corner would ever complain about an outside strike.

SD_Eagle5

I wouldn't expect anything different.

That pitch was well outside, maybe 6 inches or so. Who cares, I'll take it.

Gordon = lights out.

Wagner blew the save for the Mets tonight, btw.

I heard Wheels or Graham mention it.

MDS

Wheels did.

Looks like the same stuff as last year. Crappy April, then get hot in may and rip off like 10 straight. Haha.

I knew it was one of the douchbags.

Rome

Mutts won in extra innings.  Delgado hit a walk-off dinger to end it.

Figures.

:P
