Im so interested in seeing more stories about Jeremy Bloom and his backround.  I really havnt heard anything about this guy over the past 5 months.

Yeah, I agree.  Also, have you heard anything in the last 10 seconds about Brett Favre?  I need some info.

Looks like the guy tweener from Prison break.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Word on the street has it he's been knighted, then sainted. ALL HAIL!

Here is NFL.com's write-up of his strengths:

Bloom is a good athlete with the natural explosiveness and elite playing speed to make big plays running with the ball. He has the agility and quickness to make tacklers miss, keeps his feet vs. hard hits and has the burst to hit a crack at full speed. He has good hands and has shown the ability to reach out and pluck the ball away from his body well and can twist his body to adjust and make tough catches. He is an explosive and dangerous returner who is a legit touchdown threat every time he touches the ball. He runs good deep routes and really shows the explosive burst to get separation deep.

I highlighted what I really like about him - he's a speedster with balls. Gotta love that combination because they are extremely fun to watch and also extremely productive.

And his weaknesses:

Bloom has yet to prove himself as a starting receiver at Colorado and his ability to stay healthy catching a lot of passes over an entire season is a real concern. Despite being a naturally explosive player, he does not get off the ball and into routes consistently quick -- too often he is adequate in release vs. air. He does not run sharp short/medium routes and struggles to consistently get separation on them. He gives away routes by going up and down before cuts and rounds off cuts at times. He is shorter than ideal and lacks the bulk strength to break tackles consistently.

Looks like he will be raw as a WR, but a big time playmaker at KR/PR - and that is all I'm really asking for in a 5th round pick. Anything extra besides being a TD threat on KR/PR is icing on the cake.

I'm really excited about him getting us excellent field position this year.  :yay :yay

I honestly could care less if the guy ever lines up at WR if he's the kind of game breaking return guy that scouts say he can be.

I'm really excited about him ridding us of the Mormon Power Ranger.

the fact that this guy was planted in ski boots for all that time, with really no solid use of his ankles, and come out after only a month layoff from skiing, and run a 4.5 should tell you something. He had no time at all to work on his running drills and still posted that.

Shows you how athletic the kid kid is. We'll see

i hear they are installing moguls at the link for this season.

I heard he's been clocked in the mid 4.3s in the past...

The Eagles are shaping up to be quite the All-Metro team.  :P

At least we'll be able to say that our players can outpose any others.
